“a little slice of heaven!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2013 via mobile

My husband & I needed a quick get away, he wanted a hotel, I wanted to camp, these cabins are the perfect medium. The cabins are old, but adorable!! Front porches, rocking chairs and the people staying around us were great!! Miss deb and miss susie are awesome and always asking if you need anything. The cabins are pet friendly, so you will hear the occasional barking, but its still worth staying here! The location is great and very close to whatever you wanna get to. We absolutely fell in love with this place!!! Definately our new place to stay in asheville!! Miss my little snuggle inn already!!

This was meant to be a quick and easy trip to Asheville, and thanks to the Log Cabin Motor court, it was both! The cabins are easy to find, you park right at your cabin, and in you go! We were late check in which was super easy. A quick look inside and the cabin has everything you need. I stayed in Snug Harbor and brought my husky. With the hardwood floors, i did not feel badly about my dog shedding. There was convenient dog stations for bags and trash receptacles aplenty. I really likes that the mattresses are well protected and wrapped, as their website says. The small kitchen had all of the necessities.

If you are looking for luxury, this is not your place. These are rustic cabins with a bit of dust just for character. Do not mistake me though, I found my cabin to be very clean, and my allergies agree! they do supply towels, but when we requested more they asked we returned the used ones. I was glad I brought a beach towel or two to supplement. I also hooked up to the free WIFI with no problems.

The price is very reasonable and the location is very close to downtown Asheville and the River Arts district. I would definitely go back. Thank you!

Room Tip: The road can be a bit busy so the cabins towards the back may be a bit cozier.

My husband stayed here for the first time last week. It was our first visit to Asheville. We found the Log Cabin Motor Court here on Trip Advisor, and I'm very glad we gave it a try. We brought along our Boston Terriers and stayed 5 nights. The location was perfect for exploring Asheville, the Biltmore estate, and also for our white water rafting excursion on the French Broad River. Getting into town took about 10 minutes. The area where the Court is located is in the town of Woodfin, and the cute little mountain community of Weaverville is close by. Good for shops and cafes--I found a great french crepe cafe. There's other trendy and quality restaurants really close to the Court. We also appreciated the close-by lake with walking trail, Beaver Lake, for walking our dogs.

On to the court itself--it is charming and the cabins are set in a woodsy area. There is a freeway nearby but when we were in the cabin, we heard nothing. All the cabins have porches with seating or rocking chairs, which are very nice to give added space to relax and hang out. There are outdoor grills and picnic tables around the grounds, and there's tall trees to make you feel like you're "getting away" from the hustle and bustle. There's a "pet walk" area with an enclosed yard-type area for playing with your dogs, and there's a couple of swings for the kids.

Susie is the on-site manager and she is very friendly and accommodating. We got in really late at check-in, and had trouble opening the cabin door (due to the heavy rains, the door swelled in the frame making you have to kind of 'push hard' to get it to open), Susie and two other people associated with the cabin ownership/management were reachable at 10:30 pm by cell phone numbers posted at the office. One issue I brought up to Susie is the roadside sign to the Court has lights that are not working, so it was quite tricky to find it at night. The Bavarian Restaurant on the main highway became our "beacon" for finding the place at night. The management is supposed to be looking into getting a new sign.

We really liked the comfy bed, the hot shower, full kitchen, flatscreen tv, and wireless internet access. If you want a "luxury", new cabin with a hot tub, go someplace else. These cabins are 80 years old, and they have lots of character. The value and the pet friendliness were very big draws for us. We will definitely come back!

Room Tip: some cabins have full kitchens and fireplaces, some just have gas stoves and fridge / microwaves.

Our little cabin was great! Very comfy bed, flat screen TV, real nice deck that was shaded for most of the day. Nice setting amongst the trees. Very friendly owner. Only complaint is there is a good bit of traffic noise from the freeway. Overall a very good choice for the Asheville area.

Room Tip: Part of the 1950's movie "Thunder Road" was shot here.

My wife and I have stayed in these cabins on four occasions and I'm not sure if we can find the appropriate words to describe our satisfaction but I'll start with awesomeness.

If you like the woods and rustic surroundings this place will earn a place at the top of your list. The space is clean and fully functioning and private enough that you'll have a peaceful stay. It feels like your roughing it but in style.

We have enjoyed each stay in these cabins and will for sure be visiting them again and again.

The Log Cabin Motor Court was perfect for us. We needed a place to stay near Asheville to attend a wedding and found these cabins by searching the internet. Since you never know what you're going to get, we were exceedingly pleased! If you love the ambiance of the "good ol' days", you can honestly pretend you are back in time. The logs and floors are original - with so much character. Of course, us modern folks do like our televisions, plumbing, and decks with rocking chairs. The cabins have all of these. For those of you who like a more modern feel with plenty of amenities, this may not be for you. But if you appreciate the quality and character of true Americana, please come here. And, Susie in the office, was full of great information about the history of the cabins. She made us feel even more at home! We fell in love with this place and hope to come back year after year.

Room Tip: Cabin 3 (Snuggle Inn) was great. Even though there were other cabins around, we still felt secluded...

We stayed at the Log Cabin Motor Court for over a week. It was wonderful! The authentic log cabin was cozy, clean and had all of the amenities. It was quiet and private, yet centrally located and within a short driving distance to downtowns in Asheville, Weaverville and Black Mountain.

The staff was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed while we stayed at the cabin.

I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
