A little bit of everything for everyone. Children's playground. A restaurant. Ice cream shop. Winery. Small museum. You can't go wrong.

I always enjoy the New Morning Gallery when visiting Biltmore Village and now, the local Craft Guilld has opened an amazing gallery! You can walk along the beautiful brick sidewalks and find special treasures in many cute shops-or shop in the chain shops recently added. Williams Sonoma, J-Jill and Chico's, etc.

This was the area built for the workers of the magnificent Biltmore Estates. Over time, there have been many, many businesses & restaurants here. This doesn't count the opposite side of the street where some nice chain stores are located. The smaller "village" area is the historic part. Nice stores & an awesome art gallery full of local artists' works. Go to the gallery if nowhere else. There are several lovely restaurants, all serving innovative foods with ALL organic & local products.Try that olive oil store. Wow. These are just a few of the many best restaurants in Asheville. There is also a walking food tour here in the village, as well as in the downtown area. I've done both. Both are great ways to sample the local foods. My daughter is a free-lance writer & magazine editor here in Asheville. Her recommendations have always been great. Skip the chains, seek out the local & enjoy. Otherwise, just go to the mall.

Not what I had anticipated as a "village". I did not read the reviews on TripAdvisor before taking this side trip. Thankfully our hotel was only a mile away so it was not much of a waste of time. Our time was better spent walking the streets of downtown Asheville to discover the stores, food and very interesting people milling around on a sunny Saturday.

I visited here 20 years ago. At that time there were many local shops to visit, local fare, friendly shop owners and/or workers.

Today was a different story. A block full of chain stores that one can visit in every city and mall in the country. Just a couple of local stores who were so over priced I am surprised they did not charge a cover charge to walk in the door.

Worst yet, being totally ignored in these stores where in most cases we were the only people in there.
