“Great Shops And Restaurants”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

Yes much of what is here is tourist driven but then remember that it is adjacent to one of the largest tourist attractions in NC. There are many really great restaurants located in the village and if you look around a bit there are several nice shops also. So if you find yourself in Biltmore Village ignore the nay sayers and give the place a look over. If nothing else it is a nice place to walk around and enjoy yourself.

“Unbelievably Disney tacky”
Reviewed 27 February 2014

Knowing the deserved reputation that Asheville has for arts and food, we continued our drive along the river past the River Arts District and came to the Biltmore Village. What a shock to find a Disney styled complex of tacky commercial shops. Unless you enjoy International Drive in Orlando and Branson Missouri AVOID this pace. Now, if you love those places, this spot is for you.

“Obviously built for tourists”
Reviewed 7 January 2014

If you visit the Biltmore Estate and your time is limited, you can completely skip the Biltmore Village. Really, there's not much at all to it. I think I spent about 30 minutes walking through the shops and so forth. But it's definitely not a must-see.

“Nice but too touristy for me”
Reviewed 24 December 2013

This is a quaint little village that has some interesting shops. Most of the shops are focused on tourists with lots of money to spend and it all seems a bit to hectic and touristy for my taste. That is not to say you can't find something interesting to do here or a good place to eat. You can!

“Cute environment. Lots of shopping”
Reviewed 22 December 2013

If these stores are up your alley, you will have fun. There are many quaint shops that you could only find there and a few national ones like Chico's. We went to the Tree and Vine Olive Oil and Wine shop and it was delightful. They have samples of every olive oil and balsamic vinegar they sell. Really enjoyed the relaxing feel of the store. Went to Mountain Gallery as well for shopping and ice cream. Lots of cute but different gift items there.
