“Everything we were looking for AND more!”

We were scouring the internet for a cabin that was well appointed, private and close to Asheville restuarants and shopping.
Willow Winds fit the bill! The "cabins" are beautiful homes that are cozy and have amenities of a 5 star hotel! Mmmm - the bed linens were so soft.
The accomadations are EXACTLY as you see in photos.
Althought there are many homes on the property, it was private. From the deck, you cannot see another home. All homes have views of lush forest and water.
The staff have fabulous "Southern Hospitality". They were to able aniticpate my every need. there were NO extra charges for cleaning or hot tub. They have a full lending library of DVD's - free of charge.
I will definitely be back and will recommend to all my friends!

We stayed at Mike's Place at Willow Winds the final week of April after reading positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Willow Winds itself is very conveniently located, only a few minutes south of Biltmore and anything else you'd want to visit. (Asheville's not that big, so it's easy to go whereever you like.) It's a beautiful setting and the cabins and property really impressed us.

Mike's Place looked just as it was advertised. It was clean, comfortable and much more equipped than I would have expected. (For instance, just about any utensil you would want for cooking was present, as were hairdryers, laundry detergent, etc.) This unit also doesn't have any stairs, which is good if you have someone in your party with limited mobility.

The only negative about Mike's Place is that while it's a two bedroom unit, only one bathroom is connected to a bedroom while the other is on the other end of the unit off the kitchen. That's not really a big deal, but if your reservation does not come with bathrobes you might want to bring something to wear to and from the shower. One of the bedrooms has a TV while the other does not, but there's also a TV in the living room.

Willow Winds had a great free DVD collection that we enjoyed, and the staff was very pleasant and welcoming. We would stay there again and I've already recommended it to others.

We have been to Willow Winds eight or nine times now (so many we lost count), and we have never been disappointed. Pat and her crew are outstanding hosts and do everything to make you welcome and comfortable. Willow Winds is the perfect place to get away, yet be close to everything you need, i.e. restaurants, shopping, entertainment and events. You feel like you're secluded in the mountains, yet are only minutes from civilization. We will be back!

This is the second time that we have been to the Willow Winds Asheville. From reserving the room to check-in everyone is so friendly and helpful. They are willing to provide maps and recommendations to make your stay more enjoyable. The cabins are always clean and the surroundings are so peaceful. Someone even left a charger adapter and they called to see if it was ours and they were willing to mail it to us. Can't say enough nice things about the staff-Mary, Pat & Linda

Eight of us met at Willow Winds for a long-awaited get-together. The cabins gave us exactlly what we were looking for - privacy, convenience, location, location, location. The cabins were as represented so we had plenty of space to visit with old friends. We can't say enough good things about the cabins. They were attractive, immaculately clean, well furnished and supplied. Truly all we needed were personal items and foodstuffs. Everything else including dish detergent was furnished.

The office staff responded to our every need and were great hostesses. We plan on returning there next year. The price is right!!!
Thanks Willow Winds.

My husband and I have stayed at Willow Winds two times, and both times exceeded our expectations. The first time, he and I enjoyed a romantic weekend in Larry's Lodge. We were close enough to all of the joys that Asheville has to offer, yet "isolated" enough to enjoy time alone without any interuptions. This past time, we shared our vacation with friends in Mom's Manor. It was very spacious and has beautiful views. I have to say that our favorite part about Mom's was the squirrel (we named him Sherlock) which showed up on the porch for both breakfast and dinner every day. He was cute, and when fed; very entertaining. My husband and I will, without a doubt, be back to Willow Winds.

It is hard to say enough good things about our visit. The cabins were emmaculate, well furnished, and hard a great view out the front porches. The hot tub was clean and hot when we arrived and we ere even given a tin of cookies to welcome us. We loved fishing in the stocked trout pond and ate trout dinners two nights while we were there; the kids had a blast catching fish which was not too hard. We also took advantage of the movie library which had all the latest releases. We played with the outside chess board which was also a lot of fun. The rest of the outdoor activities and game area was a little run down; the air hockey didn't work and the bocce ball lanes were not flat so they always rolled to one side. We hiked on the trail right next to the cabins and it was a really nice trail with streams. The staff was great; very friendly and helpful on the local attractions; they really made you feel welcome. If we are ever back in Asheville, we will definitely go back to Willow Winds.
