The Residences at the Biltmore is an apartment, not a hotel. Very spacious, modern, nice and comfy. It was very close to the biltmore estate and close to lots of different landmarks. Easy to find, great signs on the road to get you there. Great in every way.

We spent Friday, March 24, 2011 at the Residences at Biltmore and couldn't be more pleased. Based on past reviews, we requested the top floor and they could accomodate us. The room was really nice,,absolutely immaculate; spacious; comfortable bed, luxurous linens, tastefully decorated; good kitchen appliances, everything seemed brand new and in great condition.
The staff was helpful and professional. We would highly recommend the Residences at Biltmore.

This Inn is perfected located near the entrance to the Biltmore and its villages. The price was right at $109 for a night as well. We stayed in a studio and although we didnt need it, the kitchen in the room was a great feature. The tv was a good size flat screen situated above an electric fireplace. The room came with a table, love seat, comfy chair and nice balcony. The bathroom had 2 sinks and a huge shower and all was very well decorated and had a great style. Our only complaint about the Inn was the paper thin walls. We could hear everyone walking the stairs to and from along with the people showering above us. I would recommend a room on the top floor away from the registration/lobby area.

We didnt get a chance to walk across the parking lot to the pool. But from below it looked very nice. They had a couple of outdoor fireplaces on the deck area along with hot tubs.

So, all in all, it was a great value for its location and ammenities, just bring ear plugs or get a higher floor room.

We were upgraded upon arrival to a one-bedroom suite. We stayed six nights and found the rooms to be quite comfortable. It was a treat to come home each night to find the apartment and dishes had been cleaned, linens replaced, and coffee ready to brew. Definitely you will need a car. We mistakenly thought we could walk into downtown., but it is a rather long walk and it was snowing. The residence hotel is particularly good if you are staying for more than a few days.

The Residences at Biltmore was a fantastic place to stay. While the location does not boast fantastic views of the mountains, the views are not bad. More important to my wife and I was the perfect location between the Biltmore Estate and downtown. Neither downtown or the Biltmore was more than a 5 minute drive from the hotel.
Now more on the hotel. The hotel appears to have been built originally as a condo complex and converted into a hotel. Our one-bedroom suite was really fantastic. With a kitchen, dinning area, living room, bedroom, bathroom, and balcony we had more space than we knew what to do with. The living area had a gas fireplace which was a nice touch. The kitchen came complete with silverware, plates, and many of the basic needs of a kitchen (including mixing bowls, hand mixer, and even a blender). It seemed there was a great attention to detail here between robes in the closet, washer and dryer in suite, and the magazines and books on the history of Asheville left in the living room. Pictures speak louder than words so take a look at the space that we had.
We only had a couple of things to mention, which have been mentioned previously. 1. The walls are a little thin, and while we didn't have major problems with this I could see it being an issue if you had a family with kids either next to or above you. (I recommend a fan, we didn't ask for one so I don't know if they would be able to bring one to the room or not) 2. There was no cover for the duvet which meant that it was a bit louder than your usual comforter.
The staff was incredibly friendly, helping us to choose restaurants and find places to go hiking. We did our homework on restaurants on tripadvisor but sometimes it comes down to two and you need another more educated opinion! They even left us a reminder to change our clocks for daylight savings. Thanks so much for the great experience.

I thought this was a nice place to stay. However for a $249 - $350 nightly rate, I couldn't give it a 5. Traveling with small children, I pay attention to details because it's important for my children to stay in a clean place. The inside was very modern, upgraded and renovated, but the room was not given a thorough cleaning.
The microwave was dirty. The wood floors were nasty, tracks of obvious dirt. The toilets were not cleaned well at all, around the edges of the toilet seats in the back there was old urine and whatever other residue left there in both bathrooms. The faucet handles were also not cleaned. The other issue would be the burning fireplace, there were fumes all night. Although the beds were nice, I couldn't sleep because of the odor from the fireplace. Overall, not the worst place to stay, but please check your room for details to make sure it's clean. If the cleaning staff could improve their cleaning and not do a rush job, this place could be a 5 and they provide an option to either have the fireplace on or not. It was automatically on when we arrived. Will try a different place to stay on my next visit.

Could not believe how incredibly spacious, luxurious, and comfortable this hotel was. Hotels like this are NEVER in our price range. We were so impressed that we were trying to make up reasons to come back to Asheville just so we could stay here. My 20 year old daughter said laughingly that it was a close 2nd to the Biltmore Estate - couldn't agree more. Excellent staff as well. Very accommodating. Didn't really want to write this review because I don't want to have trouble finding availability here in the future :)
