This East Asheville addition to the growing Papas & Beer is a good edition to the relatively dirth of available restaurants in Asheville. Service was friendly and the food was served quickly and hot. The freshly cooked chips and warm bean dip arrived pronto and were good. The portions are large accompanied with good rice and outstanding, non traditional pintos. My wife like her tamale, but did not think it was special, while my carnitas burrito was good but uninspiring. I would have appreciated a better trim job on the pork as about 25% was fat. Not a place to go out of your way for, but plenty good if you are in the area and looking for a decent Mexican meal served quickly and piping hot.
