Owner description: Catawba Brewing Company is one of Western North Carolina's oldest breweries. Brewed and packaged in Morganton, NC; this February of 2014 we opened our first Asheville tasting room. With up to 14 Catawba craft beers on tap, Catawba has the charm of a small warehouse tasting room, but with the smooth touches of a more established brewery. Our tasting room has two roll-up garage doors that open in good weather, and a large number of tables and bar seats for beer lovers. Dog and kid friendly. We feature the small batches brewed on our 7bbl system on Asheville's south slope location. Stop in and visit us soon. Cheers!

Had a great visit. Fantastic bartenders and very good beers. I rate this place at the top of my list for all the breweries I visited in Ashville.

My friends and I came here on a Saturday night and it was a blast. There are definite bar and dance floor sections so if you just want to drink and not be blown out by loud music, it’s great. Add this place to your brewery tour of Asheville!

Our group tried many different beers here and enjoyed them all. However, hands down best beer was the PB&J and the PB&J Berry. I wish I lived closer!

We visited Catawba Brewery as part of our Asheville Brews Cruise. It was great to be able to see the brewing equipment and process as you tasted their beers. There is ample seating for a large crowd, and they have restrooms as well (not found at all breweries).

As you might expect from doing tastings, some of their beers were not our cup of tea, but we found a couple that we would regularly purchase if they were to be sold in our home state.
