My husband and I wanted to go away for a long weekend to “escape”.
What a treat. We arrived on a Friday to a very warm greeting from our Innkeeper Valerie Larrea. She made us feel like long lost family members. We were upgraded to the Hyde Park Suite. WOW. The Hyde Park has a wonderful whirlpool bathtub which I used each and every night. Our bedroom was peaceful and had a king size bed as well as a wonderful balcony to view the beautiful gardens. I never sleep well away from home but I can honestly say I slept like a baby every night. The Suite was immaculate, tasteful, and every detail was greatly appreciated. We used the fireplace, the whirlpool, the towel warmer, refrigerator, the coffee maker, we tried it all. We felt “at home”.

Our morning breakfasts were always a treat. Valerie made each and every breakfast a fun event. We would wake up with anticipation. What will our breakfast surprise be today?
Valerie is such a thoughtful Innkeeper. Twice she gave us “goodie bags” of baked treats to take with us for our daily adventure. Our daily adventures were wonderful. Asheville and the surrounding area is a great place to explore. There is something for everyone.

If you want to truly relax in a warm and safe environment, visit the Abbington Green.
The Abbington Green is truly a home away from home.

Thank you Valerie for EVERYTHING!!

My friend and I spent three wonderful days exploring Asheville and the Biltmore and were entreated to the grand hospitality and charming British-influenced ambiance of Valerie's superb B&B!
She accommodated us with two great rooms (bedroom & livingroom) w/immaculate bathroom, fireplace in living room (even a flatscreen t.v.) and the notorious flavia coffee maker.
Breakfasts were delicious and their presentation along with china service were outstanding, (Hope you try the Cherry Soup!) Valerie's hostessing skills gain an A+ as she advised us about the area's attractions and even offered suggestions about parking at the Biltmore (we purchased a two day pass through her also). It was like spending time with an old friend as she was always willing to chat. This B&B is the one to book as it offers the intimacy and elegance as well as a comfotable environment for not only couples, but single women travelling together also! The Biltmore is an incredible place and Asheville is friendly and charming!

Wow! What a wonderful place, from the home made cookies at the door to the cherry soap in the morning. There was not a thing that Valerie could have thought of to make our stay any more enjoyable. As a seasoned B & B travellers, we found this home to be most impressive. When we are in the area we will be sure to stay at Abbington Green again.

A beautifully appointed home. We just loved everything about Abbington Green. Our room was very comfortable. The attention to detail is not like any other B&B we’ve ever stayed in. The hostess is very knowledgeable about the Asheville area…we were thrilled to have so many choices of things to do and places to eat and someone to help us sort it all out! We loved curling up with a book and a pot of tea in front of our fireplace. Her library of English garden books is extensive and obviously put to great use in the gardens. The breakfasts were incredible…fruit soup, homemade cakes, yummy main dishes. We love Asheville and Abbington Green! Can’t wait to go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Abbington Green B&B. Valerie (the Innkeeper) did a beautiful job in restoring and updating it.
The rooms were immaculate and comfortable with modern bathrooms and flatscreen televisions. Valerie welcomed us warmly and provided information and maps as to sites to see, restaurants and anything else that we asked. Her breakfast every morning was creative, delicious and filling, and she was very kind to meet dietary restrictions. I was sorry we were too early in the season to see Valerie's special garden in full bloom. It was so relaxing to sit on the comfortable furniture on her front porch or back deck. Coming through the front door at the end of our evenings out and smelling her freshly baked raisin oatmeal cookies was such a nice treat. I would highly recommend this B&B....and it was a pleasant walk into town if you didn't feel like taking the 5 minute drive. Our family would definitely return to Abbington Green on another visit to Asheville.

We wanted to get away for the weekend and the Asheville area offers many attractions. I looked on the bandbonline.com website and checked out many of the B&B's in the surrounding area. Abbington Green offered the best price for the level of accomodations. The hostess was very curtious and an excellent chef. Our room was very well mantained and clean. Her gardens were lovely and well ared for even in March. We had a wonderful time and plan on staying at Abbington Green on our next visit to Asheville.
