Carolina Bed & Breakfast

Our 3rd stay in 3 years at the Carolina B&B was just like coming home. Again. James and Susan greeted us warmly at the door. We had managed to snag one of the last free guest rooms for the Labor Day weekend, it was perfect. Wine and cheese was a tasty delight, breakfast wonderful. Carolina B&B is simply the most welcoming, relaxed, gracious place to get away for a day or a week. The attention to every detail, by James, Susan and the staff is unmatched by any other B&B we have ever visited. Thank you for another absolutely wonderful time at your home. Gabriele and Bob W

My husband and I stayed at the Carolina Bed and Breakfast over labor day weekend on a recommendation from a friend. It was so nice, we plan on returning and staying much longer! The host and homeowner James is such a genuinely nice guy, and had excellent recommendations for things to see and do in the area. Breakfast was divine, the coffee was amazing, the wine and hors d'oeuvres reception in the evening was the perfect way to wind down the day, and the brownies at night were the best I've ever had. The home is beautiful, and impeccably kept. The little touches really count (such as a special dark washcloth just for makeup, plush bathrobes in the closet, and wifi throughout the home if you really need to stay connected). The porch swing was a favorite spot of ours, and if socializing on the front porch isn't your thing, the back porch is cozy and quiet. The garden is beautiful too. Make sure to ask about the note from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in the parlour!
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: The Miss Webb room is on the ground floor if you prefer no stairs, and easy access to both the front...

After doing a fair amount of research online, my wife and I settled on Carolina B&B for our first trip to Asheville and we're really glad we did. I'm sure there are lots of great B&Bs in Asheville but I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we go back. Breakfasts and afternoon appetizers were delicious and plentiful. Our room was clean, well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was great for exploring downtown by foot and the neighborhood was pleasant. Owners James and Susan were very welcoming and extremely helpful. James has a wealth of knowledge about Asheville and he is happy to help with any question or request. We could not have been more pleased with Carolina B&B, will recommend to friends, and definitely hope to return.

This was our second stay with James and Susan at Carolina B&B, and it won't be our last. This B&B is one of the very best we have ever experienced. The rooms are well appointed, spacious and comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious, as are the afternoon hors d'oeuvres and wine offerings. James and Susan are hospitable, friendly, and always helpful with suggestions or directions. You won't be disappointed, and once you go, you'll definitely go back!

Super two night stay. Sara (manager) was great with all requests and questions. Very comfortable room and lots of attention to detail. Wonderful food and evening snacks. The streets in the area are great for walks and the houses are interesting to view.

My husband and I really like to stay at B+B's when we travel.
The Carolina B+B is one of the best we have stayed in to date.
The host and hostess are attentive, helpful and gracious with their time and expertise.
The room was impeccably clean, well appointed, and very comfortable.
The breakfasts were delicious, filled with fresh ingredients and very well prepared and presented.
The offering of wine, coupled with multiple choices of delicious bites of freshly prepared food to start the evening, was relaxing and a great way to converse with others staying at the inn.
The location was very convenient to all Asheville has to offer.
Great stay, and this will be the place we stay on our next visit to Asheville.

The best! The house was beautiful, the food delicious, and the hospitality out of this world. Susan and James were so accommodating and knowledge about the area. They were able to recommend tour guides, restaurants, things to do, etc. They made this one of the best travel experiences! Would highly recommend! Deb
