We arrived at 745 on a Saturday night and had to wait 15 minutes (there were 2 of us). After being seated we were immediately greeted with chips and bean dip, as well ice water. There was also a salsa bar with 10 different choices. In addition I ordered a small pineapple-coconut margarita ... it was a pretty good size for $3.99. For dinner I ordered the chicken quesadilla with added shrimp, while my husband ordered the grilled chicken burrito. Both were large portions, we couldn't eat it all. No dessert needed. Total bill, including margarita, was $28. The only issue I had is that the salsa's a the salsa bar wasn't labeled very well. They had a sign up but with photos didn't line up with the sauces, however we tried several of them and they were all great. Side note - this is a loud restaurant, if you want quiet it's not the place to go to.

The place is really good. We love good Mexican food and usually like it even if it is marginal. These guys do it well. The cheese dip is light and perfect for the chips which just keep coming at no extra charge. They have a salsa bar that has the normal (but very good) stuff and some other really interesting sauces. Be careful with the really hot ones. The portions are huge and very tasty. The carnitas were the best we have ever had in the US and they have a full bar. Our server was fun and a little macho and full of himself. Service was a little slow, but this is a very large restaurant with a giant menu and the huge parking lot was full. The prices are fair and the food quite good. If you go, you will have a super meal for a very reasonable price

Next to Kmart in a plaza, this place is hidden from the traveler. This does not have any effect on business. We had an early Friday dinner and waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Our drink order was taken immediately and we were given chips and bean dip. Our waitress was an air head and gave us lousy service, but everything else was great. I knew about the salsa bar from reading reviews. The waitress never mentioned it. She also never engaged us at any time. She was slow, disconnected, and forgetful. But, the food was great and plentiful. We had fajitas and the tortilla soup. All good stuff. I recommend the Jose Cuervo Gold fajitas. They have chicken, steak, fish and shrimp. Not a choice of 1, but all 4 on your plate. The bacon wrapped shrimp were very good too.

Big sign in strip mall says "Mexican Food"...we wrote this one off until recommended by a friend. Friendly, inexpensive, large menu of Mexican food (not much Tex-Mex). Very good quality. Lots of top shelf tequila drinks...no margaritas out of a slushy machine. Tableside guacamole service...haven't seen that since Puerto Vallarta. We loved the salsa bar....There are a half a dozen...There was a smokey one that I'm still thinking about. I am always searching for the perfect flan dessert...they come very close.

I noticed while looking on Google Earth that this parking lot was full so after a little more research we decided to try. We were impressed with the authenticity, size of the servings and value. We will be back to this place the next time we vacation in Asheville. GREAT place!
