I decided to stay here during Thanksgiving with my dog Bailey. I wanted a cute cabin for us but still close to town. This place was great. Everything I wanted and so cute! I really can't sing this place's praises enough. A nice warm fire, a full kitchen so I could cook and a really cozy bed. Rebecca was very sweet and allowed me my space. I will definitely try booking again on my next trip.
What a great little hideout! It was convenient to everything we wanted to get to, and tucked away in a great quiet location. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay!
We arrived to find a shack that was full of spiders webs and bugs - carpenter ants, more mosquitos inside a property than I have ever seen. Received horrible bug bites during the night.
A/C is a joke - it's a wall unit ONLY in the bedroom and only cools the bedroom to a limited degree but is noisy and freezes over. Asked owner for a fan but said she was at a wedding and only provided one 10 hours later which was literally the middle of the night!
Property was beyond dirty - floors were sticky, toilet clearly not cleaned, fridge disgusting, dirt under bed contained sand which seemed odd in the mountains as well as pet hair. Contacted owner and asked her if maybe the cleaning service had skipped the property and she informed me she had cleaned the home herself and thought she did a good job! I spent hours cleaning.
Property is on the owners own property and the huge pile of yard waste below the balcony was disgusting.
All you need food items was a joke as the boxes of tea, pancake mix etc were empty!!!!!!! Were they just for display? No idea!
Laundry room directly off bedroom and noisy.
Security is joke and felt venerable.
This property should be condemned but am thinking by the size of the carpenter ants we saw that it may soon fall apart.
Stayed one totally miserable night and asked for a refund which we have only, over a month later received in part.
DO NOT STAY HERE. WORST EXPERIENCE AND OWNER CAME TO CONFRONT ME AS WE WERE LEAVING THE NEXT MORNING AND WAS RUDE AND HOSTILE.
This is the perfect cabin getaway for two people. We really enjoyed the convenient location and the gracious hosts. They respected our privacy but were available for anything we needed. Quiet, peaceful garden complete with birdsong and fireflies in the evening. Cabin is the perfect home base for exploring Asheville, the sights and surrounding towns. The beehives are a must see!
We enjoyed having the Wishing Tree as our home base as we explored the Asheville area. This lovely cabin is tucked away in the woods for a feeling of quiet retreat. Yet it is a short drive to go out and enjoy the arts and restaurants of Asheville, tour the amazing Biltmore estate and hike in a national forest.
The booking and directions went smoothly. The cabin has all that is needed for a sweet retreat!
We had a wonderful stay at Wishing Tree and hope to return in the future. The cabin feels secluded and the area is very quiet, yet it is only about 15 minutes from downtown Asheville. The owners have definitely taken great care of this little gem; the cabin was in immaculate condition, very clean, very cozy, and stocked with absolutely everything you could think of needing during your stay. Thank you Rebecca and Wann for providing such a wonderful spot to stay on our vacation!
No complaints. Close to downtown and other locations. Cabin was clean. Nicely decorated. Asheville is fun.
