Hi! Thank you for giving us such a kind review . We have some super housekeepers to keep our rooms "super" clean. Our staff truly enjoys helping the guests. We are only a 3 minute drive to downtown, and a 1 min drive to the mall, so that is very convenient for most folks. Glad you thought our free breakfast was great. We put a lot of effort into making sure it is so.Take care and come back soon!
We were lucky to get in here after staying at the nearby Courtyard, where there is no free breakfast, you can BUY a coffee in the lobby, if you like, and pay more per night too. The hotel is right in town, but only a few minutes to the area's main attraction, the 250 room Biltmore House. There are some lousy free breakfasts, some ho hum ones and then there's the one you get at THIS hotel. I never eat this well at home. It's excellent AND with bacon. The staff keeps everything topped up and clean. The hotel is back far enough to not hear much road noise even on the front side. There's a good indoor pool and spa. The place is clean. The staff are friendly and more than helpful, going beyond what I expected.
Thank you sir , for your wonderful review of our property! As you noted, our low rates include an "excellent" free breakfast, and hot fresh coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day.I hope you will start eating this well at home! Our location is central to most of Asheville's main attractions, yet we are tucked into a quiet spot. I am so glad you felt the staff exceeded your expectations. We do really enjoy our guests and sincerely desire to assist you. Hurry back and let us treat you like family!
We stayed here 3 nights attending a wedding. I cannot thank the staff enough for a wonderful stay. Everyone was fabulous, friendly and helpful. Monark and Sarrah greeted us daily and always had great ideas, suggestions and wanted to hear about our daily adventures. They seemed to be a well trained staff with hands on management. Rooms were wonderful and very well kept.
So glad you took time to give us a review about your great stay with us. I am glad the staff was friendly and helpful to you. Visiting with the guests really is the best part of our job. I am happy that you loved the room , soon our common areas wil also have a fresh, new look. Please visit again soon and let us take care of you like family!
Stayed at this hotel again and was very pleased yet again. The breakfast has been good but this time it was phenomenal. Great spread and many hot items. Biscuits, gravy, grits, eggs. That with the friendly staff makes this place the epitome of southern charm! Only reason I am giving it an overall 4 is because if the current renovations that are happening. Can't wait to see the hotel after that though.
Your review was exactly what we want to hear. We really do try to exude Southern charm at this property, and guests like yourself make it easy! Our staff really does enjoy interacting with folks and are sincerely happy to attend to your needs. Glad you enjoyed our breakfast even more than you did before. Our renovations should be complete by the end of April, so hurry back to check it all out!
I came in with a group of friends recently and we had 4 rooms altogether. The hotel manager went out of his way to accommodate my group and put us all close together on the same floor, very appreciative of the fantastic service.
Throughout our stay, our rooms were nicely serviced on a daily basis with fresh towels and sheets. The staff in the hotel including the general manager were exceptional and were able help us out on all requests (directions to local restaurants, golf clubs, and to the Biltmore House).
Even though the hotel is wrapping up a renovation, the hotel is very nice, in a great location that is centrally located in Asheville, excellent staff and service, and many restaurants and shopping malls nearby. Downtown is within 1 mile and the Biltmore House is within 3 miles from the hotel, which is a great plus!! Definitely coming back!
Hello and thank you !
We appreciate your great review of our property. We are glad you experienced excellent service and assistance from all the staff including our general manager. As you noted, we are very convenient to just about anything you come to Asheville to do or see. We look forward to your next visit!
This is an average hotel - not awful but not the best place we've stayed either. We chose it because of the reviews on TripAdvisors; so maybe our expectations were raised a bit too high. It seems to be an older hotel which is in the process of being spiffed up. It is clean and reasonably priced; so it isn't as though we didn't get our money's worth. Still there were some annoyances which prevented us from rating it higher.
We didn't interact much with the staff - just the front desk when we checked in. But we weren't struck by the Southern hospitality North Carolina is famous for. We could have been in New York or California. We didn't have much of a view from our room's window, mostly blocked by a tall bluff on the south side of the hotel. The room was comfortable enough, including the king-sized bed, and the bathroom had reasonable amenities. However, the shower curtain didn't cover the entire tub, allowing water from the shower to spill on the tiled floor. And, on the morning we checked out, we found the housekeeping staff had left us only one wash cloth for the two of us to share.
The hotel is in a convenient location, 10 minutes from the Biltmore estate if that's why you're in Asheville. It's also close to shopping centers if you need do some shopping. And there are restaurants nearby for meals. Waffle House is next door to the hotel but we didn't use it. The hotel's complimentary breakfast met our need for the morning meal. The breakfast room was small but the staff laid out an appetizing selection of breakfast items. Just pay attention to the hours that breakfast is served.
We've had some trips where the hotel was the highlight of the experience but this wasn't one of those trips. It wasn't bad - just not great either. If we visit Asheville again, we may upgrade to a more expensive hotel to try to enhance our traveling experience.
Hello and thank you!
We are glad you took the time to share your thoughts about our property during your recent stay. I am sorry we didn't "wow" you with southern charm. That is not typical for us. It is true that views from this location are limited but we do have the conveniences of downtown and other attractions within a couple of minutes. I am glad that our minor facelift to our halls and lobbies did not cause too much inconvenience to you. We are periodically obligated to update our look per our brand's standards. I will speak to housekeeping regarding the shower curtain "fit", this is the first time we have had this issue. As for extra towels or washcloths, with a call to the front desk we will happily run any additonal items up to your room any time day or night. I am glad you enjoyed our above average complimentary breakfast. Please consider giving us another opportunity to make you feel at home next time you are in beautiful Asheville, NC.
