The location is great for this property! Close to many spots worth visiting (Asheville, Biltmore and even cute little Weaverville). The owners were very nice and greeted us upon arrival. There was a sweet bottle of wine and chocolates on the pillows. Was also very clean. The only thing I will say for future renters is that this is a guest house on top of a 3 car garage. You drive past the owners house to the garage in back and park. The fire pit is in between the main house and the guest house in the back (20 feet or so from both). So if you are looking for privacy...this might not be the spot. If you are looking for a great little spot close to everything...definitely worth the trip. Description also mentioned a fireplace in the great room...but didn't see that.
We had a truly lovely stay in this little cabin tucked away, just moments from little, sleepy Weaverville NC. First, we were immediately greeted by their two furry ambassadors, Cody & Guinness, their canines. Sweethearts & not at all overwhelming. They will put them up if you’re not a dog person. The cabin is spotless and flawlessly appointed. It has everything one could possibly want or need. Great tiled shower, own heat/ac, beautiful wooded views and picture window. Fully stocked kitchen, fluffy towels and plenty of them, and very comfortable furniture. Janie even left us a welcome bottle of wine. Very gracious host. It really was the nicest home away from home we’ve stayed in. The cabin is very well located, no more then 20 min from Asheville. Great local shopping food areas.
We visited for 4 days during our trip South.
We arrived to a clean cabin that was equipped with many kitchen supplies. It was wonderful to be able to cook a few meals (vs. dinning out). That helped elevate some of our travel expenses.
The property is lovely! Having our coffee on the porch swing was so peaceful. We were able to visit many close attractions. I highly recommend staying here for your visit to the Asheville area! Janie is an excellent host!
This cottage was the perfect place to enjoy the feel of being in the mountains but being close to Asheville's sites, restaurants, and activities. The cottage had a cozy, somewhat rustic feeling. Having the kitchen was very convenient, and having the living room gave us extra space to relax. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size for my husband and me. The cottage was very clean and nicely supplied -- dishes, utensils, coffee pot, towels, washcloths, etc. Making arrangements through Janie was easy. We will definitely be back and highly recommend the cottage!
We enjoyed our honeymoon in the wooded mountains of Weaverville, North Carolina. We can't thank Janie and her husband enough for this hidden romantic treasure. The beautiful touches of this quaint little cabin makes your stay extra special. We enjoyed romantic evenings near the private fire pit and loved breakfast and coffee on the porch swing each morning. You'll be greeted by Cody and Guinness, two cabin dogs, whom we just adored! It truly is a cozy, comforting place to stay and you feel miles away from civilization with it's winding driveway into the woods. Make sure to visit the cute little downtown area of Weaverville when you visit and take a hike through the property...it's beautiful. You may even see a wild turkey or two! If you are into city life....check out Asheville, it was a quick ride to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estates. We absolutely loved our experience and highly recommend this beautiful little cabin. We'll be back for sure!!!
First of all the location was perfect. It was only 15 minutes from Asheville. We used the Waze app coming in from Nashville and it gave us a few wrong turns but later use Google maps and it worked perfectly with Verizon. Janie & John were accommodating to all of our needs even printing out written directions to Biltmore. Cottage has most everything you need and was very clean. In Asheville you must drive up Blue Ridge parkway and about 15 min drive to dining at 9 mile in Asheville also. We loved the Glass Onion in Weaverville for breakfast/brunch. You want be disappointed.
When we arrived we were met by Janie and her two very friendly dogs. We chatted for a few minutes before going into the cabin. We were very pleased by the cleanliness and the overall care that is put into this cabin. The cabin itself is a little tough to find (which is a good thing in my opinion) Make sure to follow the instructions that are emailed to you. For those who can not go without Internet and TV, don't worry, the WiFi and satellite works great.Overall,I would give this 5 stars!
