We went to the SoWa market today, first time in many years. Found an on street spot a few blocks away, but $10 parking is close by in case you don't find a space.

Started in the artists studios, and even though more than half the doors mentioned Open Studios during SoWa events, there were maybe 6 total places open. They had cool stuff (as did the closed places) but not enough open spots to make that part of our visit worthwhile.

The crafts market was excellent, with tons of dealers with so much neat stuff. Hard to avoid buying it all. The farmer's market and food truck area was also very good and we spent most of our money there

even though it's early in the greenmarket season there was enough there yesterday despite the cooler than normal temperature. Everything from hot sauce, mushrooms, tea, baked goods, plants, some veggies, pet treats, dishtowel, candles, and more. I'm sure once summer hits this market will expand. THey also have food trucks. Nice to pair it with a visit to the SoWa Artist open studios which are open on the weekends until October. Nice way to spend Sunday

Had a great outdoor breakfast and lots of fun tasting and purchasing anything from Greek Atlas Green Olives to Bantam Wonderkind Hard Cider to Hickory Way Cheese Pate! The vendors were so friendly and helpful and made our experience in Boston extra special. Wonderful crafts, linens, woodworking, pottery, and much more. Opened on Saturdays and Sundays in spring, summer, and fall. A great way to spend some time while in South End Boston.

Maybe it was because it was the second last event of the year, but it was smaller than we expected. Not many vendors and only 3 food trucks, not 12 like they usually mention. The vintage market in the basement is like an indoor flea market, but too small. I guess if you are into art galleries and over priced arts and crafts, this is for you. We like food trucks, farmers markets and flea markets. We expected more of that.

We get to the SoWa market at least once each year. Such fun!! A bunch of delicious food trucks! Beer!! A great Farmers market with very interesting local specialty food vendors in addition to local produce and a knife sharpener!! Go next door to the browse the booths of local artists with everything from jewelry, photography, clothing and accessories. It is the perfect place to shop for gifts - or yourself! The vintage market has moved and is in the basement of an adjacent building. There is street parking within a few blocks and a paid lot right next door. $10.
Hanging out in Boston for the weekend? This is a fun diversion.
