Owner description: This Italian neighborhood, Boston's oldest, is known for its wonderful restaurants and historic sights. Walk the cobblestone streets to take in the architecture and aromas of delicious food, and visit Paul Revere's house and the Old North Church while you're in the neighborhood.

“Great for Locals and Tourists!”
Reviewed 21 October 2012

Great date spot for locals and fantastic tourist destination for people visiting Boston. The removal of the elevated highway cutting this neighborhood off from the rest of the city has really helped a lot.

15 years or so ago this neighborhood used to be 100% Italian, now you can see gentrification taking its toll as generational Italian families can either no longer afford to live here or are cashing out.

“Nice piece of history”

Next time I come I plan to do a lot of walking here. Weather didn't allow it this time. The small streets, restaurants and bakeries beckon....

“Neat neighborhood”
Reviewed 20 October 2012

This is a charming neighborhood. We didn't get to try any of the restaurants because of time constraints but when we come back we'll be sure to go back to the North End to eat. We did browse in a charming Italian grocery store; made us wish we lived nearby; could shop and go home to fix an wonderful meal.

“Nows that Italian.”

What a great area of Boston. More Italian restaurants on every block that are in some cities. Pick anyone you like you will get a great meal.

“A piece of Italy”
Reviewed 19 October 2012

If you are italian or not you should visit the North End. There are so many A+ Italian restaurants. There are also many celebrations at night for Saints and Feast days. Make sure to make a reservation at these restaurants because they fill up quickly
