Owner description: This Italian neighborhood, Boston's oldest, is known for its wonderful restaurants and historic sights. Walk the cobblestone streets to take in the architecture and aromas of delicious food, and visit Paul Revere's house and the Old North Church while you're in the neighborhood.

“Authentic Italian”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

The North End is the place to go for Italian food. Find bakeries tucked away in alleys, excellent restaurants and specialty shops. So do not get distracted from the Freedom Trail!

“A Taste of Italy”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

My wife and I have lived in the North End for over 16 years and still find it to be an exciting and interesting place to be. There are dozens of restaurants offering food from the various regions of Italy and a few which have blended the cuisines of the countries where the owners
lived before that moved to the USA. There are several bakeries offering a huge selection of Italian pastries and breads. You can even take part in the ongoing battle as which has the best cannoli, Mike's or Modern. Don't miss the cafes where enjoy a cappuccino or a cafe latte or a glass of wine and a dessert. Go to one of delis and load up on sausages, cheese, and other imported Italian goodies to take home
Beside the purveyors of food there are some love boutiques with high fashion clothes and unusual gifts. Don't miss the True Value hardware store. It carries every thing from tools to a great assortment greeting cards. The North End contains several points of historical and cultural interests such as the Old North Church, Paul Revere's House, a Bulltinch Church. North End Branch library has beautiful diorama of the Palazzo Ducale in Venice( and the only public toilet in the North End). Come to the North End. Eat, drink, learn and enjoy.

“Go Hungry leave Happy”

The aroma greets you as soon as the wind blows. If your favorite restaurant has an hour line out the door, don't worry you will find a new favorite in a few minutes. I love trying new places and it is almost impossible to find a bad restaurant in the North End.

“Great area. Many good restaurants.”

North End is great for a great diner. Many good Italian restaurants. If looking for pizza, Pizzeria Regina is the best option.!!
