Owner description: At the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, you can be a part of the famous event that forever changed the course of American History! It’s more than a stroll through historic artifacts – it’s an adventure! Located on the Congress Street Bridge in Boston, Massachusetts, this floating museum is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before. Live actors, high-tech, interactive exhibits, authentically restored tea ships and the stirring, multi-sensory documentary “Let it Begin Here,” are just a taste of what you’ll see, hear and feel. Meet the colonists, explore the ships and dump tea overboard just as the Sons of Liberty did on that fateful night of December 16, 1773. Stop in at Abigail’s Tea Room for teatime and visit the Gift Shop for special souvenirs. It’s educational, entertaining and enlightening — an experience not to be missed by adults and children of all ages. Your tour of the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum will last approximately one hour and will take you through a variety of displays that are interconnected. The tour is designed to give you the opportunity to participate, explore and learn about the people, events and consequences that led up to the American Revolution in the order in which they actually occurred more than 230 years ago.

As an Australian without the historic background, I was worried I wouldn't enjoy the attraction. I was wrong, they give enough background for anyone to follow, while keeping it interesting for the US audience as well! A very enjoyable time.

As part of the Trolley ride, the Boston Tea Party Ships was included in the price. This museum was highly interactive and informative. There was a reenactment of an organized meeting which was interactive and quite entertaining. The kids were able to "dump" tea overboard the ship, and there were exhibits which characters John Adams and King George came to life and argued their respective sides regarding taxation of the early colonists. Whether you know the history of the American Revolution and Boston Tea Party or not, this is highly worth the trip!

I was really impressed with our visit here. Although the story presented is definitely biased toward the American side of the story (as expected), we had a good time. The guides were very energetic, which kept my daughter's interest. They did a good job getting the whole group involved in the story, including letting my daughter be one of the people to throw the "tea" into the harbor. I would avoid going on a very cold day, as the time spent on the ship and on the dock was almost unbearably cold. I would also recommend having tea and a snack at Abigail's Tea Room upstairs (even though they had no clotted cream for their scones). My daughter kept asking to go back.

we did not know what type of museum to expect when we arrived there and were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by staff in traditional dress of the time period.then then proceeded with a excellent retelling of the boston tea party ,entrance was free as we had bought tickets for the old town trolley tour so if your in the area give it a go it is well worth it

Included in the price of our trolley bus ticket was a visit to the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, now, we usually pass on this type of activity but we decided to give it a go and we're so glad that we did, it was really impressive. An interactive, informative and fun dramatisation of the events surrounding the uprising over unfair taxes. The actors were very good at performing their characters and their dry humour appealed to me. We were like big children when we took our opportunity to throw the tea into the harbour but having visited this exhibit, the remainder of our Boston tour made sense. This is a worthwhile stop for any visitor to Boston, it's better than you think...
