This is a wonderful park to walk around. All sorts of fascinating trees, including redwoods and sequoias and cedars. They are all labelled clearly so you can learn about them more. It can be very crowded on lilac sunday, but if you go the week before or after it's not as crowded...of course, on Lilac sunday there are all sorts of interesting entertainment to see.

Tons of trees, vines, flowers, plants, all in the Jamaica Plain/Roxbury area. It's free to get in and it offers a great place to walk, run, bike, or even take a nap alongside the trails. Beautiful!

I spent an afternoon at the Arboretum on my own on a horribly hot and humid day. Nonetheless, I had an amazing visit to this massive, sprawling, well-maintained city treasure. The Arboretum has great paved roads, as well as mulched/gravel trails, and even smaller foot trails. Their stunning tree collection is well maintained and tagged with name/species info - there are even tree walk collections so that you can take a tour of certain types of trees.

This is the perfect place to go if you are looking for some quiet time alone, with a partner, or with family and friends. There are benches galore, water fountains, way-finding maps, and grassy areas to sit or play. I highly recommend this amazing free attraction!

I can't believe it took us this long to visit the nearby Arnold Arboretum. What a beautiful park. We particularly enjoyed the vine garden and the bonsai collection - many of which are 100+ years old!

We went on a slightly rainy Monday (public holiday). It was quieter than I thought it would be and there was a lot to see. The bonsai garden was the highlight, but there are a lot of nice plants and ponds to look at. Nice place for a walk.
We didn't do the guided tour as we didn't need the full info but saw people doing it who seemed to be enjoying themselves.
The whole place has a nice serene atmosphere and the staff at the visitor centre are very helpful.
