“Excellent location but overpriced”
Reviewed 19 August 2011

Excellent location as reviewed previously but expensive. Even parking at 44$/day was overpriced. As parking downtown is only available in public parking lots, recommend walking and leave your car at public parking next to hotel at 36$. Food available in 2 adjoing malls. Rooms are nice but a bit old fashioned, need remodeling, especially concierge lounge.Recommend for location if you can get a good deal on room rate.

Room Tip: try to get corner room for the excellent view

My son, a college senior, and I have just returned from Boston. We used Priceline, specifying "Back Bay/Copley Square" and were fortunate to be assigned to the Marriott. Our stay there could not have been better. The hotel is a modern high rise that is connected by skywalk to the Prudential Tower shops and the Prudential stop on the T subway system. The area is absolutely safe and comforting for out-of-towners (like us) unfamiliar with the city. Directly across from the hotel is the embarkation point for the Duck Tours, which every tourist will want to do. There are excellent restaurants (including Legal Sea Food) in the Prudential shops and within walking distance. Taxis are always available right at the door. On the hotel's second floor there is a bustling convenience store and Starbucks. When you check in, ask the clerk for a room that overlooks the Charles River. We had excellent views of the sailboats on the Charles as well as MIT. We stayed five nights and felt we needed at least three more to do justice to the city. When we return, it will definitely be to the Marriott Copley Place.

Just across the street from the Amtrak Station, the Marriott Copley Place in Back Bay is an ideal location for business travellers. The hotel is within steps to the Copley Place mall with shops and a supermarket. It was quite an enjoyable walk to the Copley Square and the bustling Boyston Street lined up with restaurants in the evening. Room was clean with comfortable bed but the decor was a bit old fashioned. Tried to book the hotel for other times but price had gone up considerably. Can get better deals at the Fairmont Copley or other brands in downtown.

Extremely poor customer service at front desk and conceirge services. Other than being centrally located, would not reccommend. There are many other properties to choose that are nicer, have more professional staff and have better amenities.

Nice room, stayed on the 25th floor and the view was amazing. Beds comfty, and had a fridge, safe, and coffee maker. The pool and jacuzzi were a treat. The old town trolley stop is right in front of hotel, which is convenient. Nice location if you like to shop otherwise a little out of the way for historical spots and waterfront. The t station is a block away so not such a problem. Definitely enjoyed my stay.

If you're going to Boston, this place is ideal for families and couples. I've never been to Boston for leisure so this was our first trip. The location of the hotel is amazing. Centrally located in Copley square with walking access to almost everything! The hotel is very clean, quiet (on the floors) and very secure. If you park there, there's a $44 daily parking charge with in/out privilege which is very useful. The lot is in the hotel and totally secure. I forgot something in the car and the attendant wouldn't let me go get it, he brought me the car. There is security everywhere, a guy carrying a case of beer through the lobby was stopped and routed elsewhere. My son left the iPAD on the bed (instead of the safe), and was still there when we got back. The rooms are clean and quiet. Tip the help, they work hard to make your stay enjoyable. The gym and pool are first rate. Location, across from Copley/Prudential mall. You can walk across the skybridge to the mall, there is a good foodcourt + Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen and a huge Shaws supermarket so if you want to pick up some food and not spend on restaurants all the time, it's right across the street. Across the street is the Duck tours stop, a must if you want to see Boston, Newbury, Boylston streets for shopping and eating and close to Boston Common. This was a great trip!

Room Tip: Clean quiet room

Very impressed ... Quick check in ... Polite employees ... Nice facilities ... Attached to Copley Mall ... Good fitness center with plenty of cardiovascular, pool, jacuzzi. Comfy beds ... Roll away for 3yr old son came right away. Coffee maker and fridge in Rm. Very easy for family travel ... Can catch duck boats right outside, sky observatory in mall (great views of city) and Top of the Hub Restaurant (also in mall) excellent food & service with great view. Only bummer ... No shuttle to airport. Overall great hotel.
