Stayed seven nights from July 22-29th. Clearly an amazing location. Friendly staff, helpful and kind. The housekeeping staff very friendly and the room was clean.

Perhaps just a little sticker shocked being from the Midwest, but thought the rates were unnecessarily high. The rooms were average quality and average sized. The room was equipped with an old beat up fridge that even had a note on it saying it wasn't for actual refrigeration, but rather just a cooler. No microwave. No free WiFi. $3.50 for a bottle of water that was placed in the room. I think the biggest disappointment was the lack of complimentary continental breakfast. (We were offered this for an additional $350.00 for week). I feel if you want to stay in central Boston, expect to pay this premium. However, it would have been nice to have the hotel make an effort to feel it was worth the price.

Dear Bjppa – Thank for your review and choosing to stay with us amongst so many choices in downtown Boston. We are investigating the possibility of placing refrigerators in the rooms and are working on a few prototypes that would adequately ventilate the heat generated by the compressors on the units. It would be my hope that we would have a solution found by years end and include it in the renovation package for 2015. Unfortunately Wifi and breakfast as a standard aren’t complimentary with Marriott full service properties at this time, but potentially they will be in the future. Sorry for a few of the disappointments.

Dear Danky12 – I appreciate the review and staying with us on this past business trip. Please accept my apologies for the issue with the shower. Please e-mail with your room number so that I can have Engineering take a look at the water pressure in the room. Matthew.v.moore@marriott.com. Thank you.

A truly wise use of our marriott points for a long weekend with the kids in downtown Boston. The kids loved being by the water and we loved having a place for them to crash close by to lots of attractions for them. The convenient location is worth the extra $$ or points!

Room Tip: most rooms overlook the water. kids found that very entertaining.

In addition to the usual cleanliness and great service the conceierge staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The lounge was well run with staff willing to handle special requests like V-8 in the morning and really good service in the evening..

I really cannot add too much to all the other great reviews, except to say Thank you to this hotel and its staff. First off we used Marriott points to stay for our Anniversary. This can be dicey, sometimes you get the worst room cause your not paying. ( a real slap considering that's how we accumulated the points by staying there). Not so here. We had the nicest woman at the front desk search for a nice room with a comfy King bed for us. She was the most pleasant person I have ever encountered at a check in and what Marriott should strive for from every employee. Too bad I didn't get her name but the badges are small and her's was turned away from me. No complaints, everyone was great that we dealt with. The room did have a funny odor but once you were in there you didn't really notice it too much. Great location to reach so many tourist things and so many great restaurants in the area!! Would highly recommend you gather your points and head to the city.

Spent about a week there earlier this month: great location for walking all around the Freedom Trail, North End, waterfront, etc. Easy mass transit access to other areas of the city.

From the front door staff (Jim & Mike) to the front desk, to the bar (Barry & Paul), to the concierge lounge breakfast (David & Toya), we enjoyed every interaction with the Long Wharf team.

Great location: love the 3rd floor deck overlooking the wharf! Loved walking to Fanueil Hall and the North End.

Would return for business or pleasure in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: Corner rooms with 2 beds are ideal for families: we used the sleeper sofa and added a rollaway twin...

Dear TeamLukac – I appreciate the review. Thanks for naming some of the extraordinary contributors from our team. I will be happy to share your review with them as well as the rest of our staff here at Long Wharf. The 3rd floor pool deck is one of Boston’s best kept secrets. Thanks for mentioning it. It is also free to all Hotel guests, this year we started food and beverage service to make it even more special.

While the hotel was pricey, the location was very convenient, although it wasn't in the heart of Downtown. The service and accommodation I received here was exceptional; almost every staff member went above & beyond to make sure my stay was a comfortable one. If you're looking for a view, you won't really get one because the building itself is only about 4-5 stories. We had a second floor room with a bad view of the park in the back, which wasn't ideal, but nevertheless, still a comfortable stay. Not many useful amenities on site (like slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, cotton swabs), but they will be more than happy to bring them to you. Really clean hotel as well. The highlight was a friend and I leaving some things behind and security unhesitatingly shipped our things back to us and we more than patient throughout the process.

Pricey, but proximate to some tourist sites--Long Wharf, Boston Aquarium, Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, and subway station is right in front of the main entrance.
