Modern-decorated Marriott, handicapped accessible, with fitness room, pool and hot-tub. Roll- away beds available with semi-comfortable pillows and beds. The staff is friendly and the security is professional and courteous. Clean, professional atmosphere conveniently located to Quincy Market, Boston Aquarium, famous restaurants, the harbor and many attractions, as well as ticket areas to purchase sight-seeing musts. Cost to stay is on the higher side, as it is in the convenient location. Sodas are 3.00 each; water in the room is 3.50 should you accidentally on purpose choose to open it :) Downside is convenient parking through the hotel is 48.00 per night, but the parking staff is friendly and assists you anyway they can. Parking is VALET ONLY in the garage. The lounge offers food, though it is very expensive. There is a STARBUCKS coffee on the lower level as you enter the hotel. *NOTE* you must take the escalator to the second floor to check in and access the hotel lobby. I recommend bringing your own breakfast foods if you are able, as refrigerators are available in the rooms... otherwise, venture out for breakfast to Quincy Market or to a cafe in the area. We traveled with teens, and they enjoyed the pool and fitness room, as well as venturing outside to the park-like area and harbor right outside. We also recommend viewing the harbor in the evening, as the city lights on the CHJART HOUSE restaurant side are pretty. The kids enjoyed watching the ferries and large boats unloading, docking and closing up for the evening and preparing for the next day's activities. If you are not short on budget, we recommend this hotel for your lodging needs.

Room Tip: Rooms are set as such: in a square around a center courtyard-like area. Odd rooms are on one side o...

Dear Samicat – Thank you for your thoughtful review on Trip Advisor. With all the choices, I am happy that you chose us for the family get-a-way. Just a point of clarification, we offer coolers in every guest room that keep cold items cold for a time. Refrigerators are available through Housekeeping on a first come first serve basis. Preference is given for those needing to store medications.

This is a great location! It's why We chose it. Staff was friendly and helpful, facilities were clean. Decor was sorta bland.
It was expensive, and the room we were given was small, on the first floor, and had a view of the sidewalk on the west side. Not what I was hoping for in a visit to the Boston waterfront. Yes, I could have paid for more than the basic rate, but I also could have stayed at many other nearby hotels.
It was disappointing to pick a hotel called Long Wharf and not be able to see any water. I feel cheated.
In addition to the high room price, they charge you a lot to park your car. I guess that goes with the territory to stay downtown, but be aware of parking fees.
Then there is the WiFi access. You know the Marriott drill. Not only do they make you pay, but they charge you more for decent speed.
I'll never understand how their lower priced Courtyard brand can offer free WiFi, but Marriott has to charge? It's hard to categorize it as anything but gouging.
If I go back to Boston, I will try one of the other higher rated Marriott properties. They are close by some within walking distance.

Dear Nextboat – Thank you for your review and giving us a try. My apologies for some of the disappointment with us on this last visit. We typically try to accommodate everyone with the best available accommodations/views, unfortunately due to very high occupancies during the summer travel season, not everyone has an opportunity to overlook the waterfront. However I must say that the view over the Rose Kennedy Greenway is also pretty good. As a brand standard all full service Marriott charge for wi-fi access. I would hope at some point in the near future that we will be able to standardize it as a complimentary amenity.

We stayed one night in the Long Warf Suite and loved every minute of our experience! The view was beyond incredible. We also really loved the location of the hotel, just steps from the best of Boston - the North End, Aquarium, Fanueil Hall, and so much more. Beautiful lobby and amenities. Really the only place in the hotel we didn't love was the Executive Lounge. It was really crowded and they didn't offer trays to take breakfast back to the room. But a small complaint on an overall amazing hotel! We will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you can splurge, book the Long Warf Suite! Huge balcony with panoramic view of the Boston harbor!

Dear MMcFadz – Thank you for the review and comments on our location. Our Concierge Lounge on occasion can be crowded because of the many, many Marriott Rewards guests we host most days. We try to provide individual service to all, it looks like we disappointed you in that respect and for that I am sorry.

This is a wonderful hotel. Great location within a minute's walk of Quincy Market, modern and clean. Comfortable bedrooms and a great health club facility.

However, if you drive there, you may want to check up on local parking rates. I got the shock of my life when they added $48 to my bill for valet parking. We were only there for one night, so I don't know whether this is a per night charge, but I wouldn't be surprised. Again, you may want to check as that would soon add up to a tidy sum.

Dear 15MW – I appreciate the honest feedback in your review. Sorry for the shock on valet parking. It is on the expensive side, but we believe it is comparable to many locations in downtown Boston. Additionally the parking rate covers your vehicle to be parked in a secured lot and the convenience of valet service. Hope to see you back with us soon for another get-a-way.

We spent two nights there last week and enjoyed it very much.
We received great customer service and a clean and comfortable
room which we have come to expect when we stay at the Marriott
Hotels all over. We were able to get to all the places in the city we
wanted too. There are many restaurants and shops in walking
distance, especially Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. Easy to get
to public transportation and to tours on the water. Great place to
see and do all that you want while in beautiful Boston!

For the price, this has to be one of the best locations in Boston. The hotel we usually frequent on our New England trip was booked and they recommended this one. Large room with a good view for a walk in rate. Staff was friendly and helped us plan our day trips around the city, they were all very knowledgeable about the area.

Would recommend.

Room Tip: Never hurts to ask for a room with a view. We did and got one!
