“Great hotel”
Reviewed 20 June 2014

We stayed at the Eliot Hotel last year and were exited. Fantastic rooms, very friendly staff and perfect location. We will for sure go back to the Eliot Hotel this year.
Try it its really worth it (even if the room rates are quiet high)

The Eliot hotel is wonderfully located within easy reach of just about anything a tourist, business or causal traveller could need. The service was attentive and the valet parking a breeze, which is a real plus in any busy metro are like Boston.
The room accommodations however are a bit dated. Our bath /shower room was fine, and appeared recently renovated , but tight with a single sink. The room decor was pretty 90's which is fine for a 3 star hotel, but not one of the Eliot calibre and tarif.
I'd stay again but would look for improvements . There is lots of competition in the area, so I'd have to branch out if room renovations aren't in the offing.

Room Tip: Wish I knew

I have just spent 4 nights in this lovely hotel, along with my daughter, for a wonderful break in Boston. We felt like the only guests in this wonderful hotel, it was so quiet. All of the staff are friendly, and always willing to help. We were upgraded to a suite, which was wonderful, complete luxury. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and we will be coming back!

Room Tip: 2nd floor suite lovely and quiet for sleeping

booked b/c of the great reviews and the proximity to fenway. a suite for my family and double bed room my dad and mom. very small check in desk handled us in minutes. we arrived about 2 hours before check in but they still had our room ready. front desk person kindly helped us book 5 cirque du solei tickets for that evening and printed them with directions. the next night, a woman who I believe was a sales director called Eastern Standard restaurant and got us a table avoiding a huge wait. I wish I had noted the names of these great folks. Spent some time wandering Newbury street and went to the sox game on sunday all within comfortable walking distance for all family members. Great location, great service, great rooms and character in this 80 year old hotel!

Room Tip: Book with hotel directly - got the trip advisor rate plus they give you matching sky miles.

Location and room size were everything one could ask for. Decor and ambience were pleasant. Size of shower and bathroom is a compromise. Hotel restaurant for breakfast was totally worth it. La Voile (French) round the corner is a wonderful for lunch or dinner.

Three best pals got together for a fabulous weekend at The Eliot Hotel on June 13, 14, 15. I had been there many times before (my favorite place in Boston), but it was a new experience for my girl friends. They too, were as impressed with this fabulous hotel as I have always been. In my mind it's all about the details and The Eliot continues to be exceptional in every way. From the minute you step out of your car (wonderful doormen) to the check-in process (love you Soyoon!) to the outstanding rooms and check-out (always a sad time) -- there is just not one thing that isn't perfect. My "hen" girl friends were so impressed! Whether it was staying up until the wee hours "cackling" or seeing the sites and sounds of the city (went to the Pops), our stay could not have been more pleasurable. Thank you, Eliot Hotel, for never taking a break from outstanding customer service.
