I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency Boston several times recently. I am impressed with the incredible service at every level and by every employee I encountered. I travel a great deal and things like cleanliness, and service above and beyond make such a difference. While there are many places to eat in the neighborhood Avenue One is worth a stop. It has great food, attentive and friendly service. You will not be disappointed in any way.

Room Tip: All rooms I stayed in were great. Higher up has some incredible views.

Green Features: The usual concern about conserving linens is present and I support it. It seems that much of the food is locally sourced as well.

In town for anniversary weekend. Customer service here is fantastic- from the concierge desk, front desk, housekeeping , and restaurant servers. Everyone very upbeat and helpful . Perfect location to go to the opera house. Elevators are an issue, but was able to relax and just enjoy the weekend!

We were greeted by a friendly doorman and it never ended. From top to bottom the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent and very well maintained. The bed was
very comfortable. We had a small refrigerator in the room which was a nice touch along with a coffee maker. Each evening in the lobby the staff was passing out different treats, one night ice
cream sundaes, another night cupcakes etc. What a nice touch. We would stay there again
in a heartbeat. Also if your wondering Boston has some of the friendliest people we have encountered on our trips. Wow I was expecting a NY attitude and was I wrong. Great People.
Took the Fenway tour, trolley 2 day tour and pass and ate at the oldest pub in America, the Bell in Hand. What a kick. The freedom trail is fantastic and a must do. On Saturday evening it looks like everyone goes to the town squares for entertainment and food. A real blast

The whole check in process took way too long. I have never in 20 years of business travel experienced such a long wait to check in at a Hotel. The Managers were walking around trying to keep the peace, but they should have been helping the guest check in and get settled. It was disappointing experience for a Hyatt property. Expected more.

Hotel provides everything you can expect for hotel in this category. Well maintained, large rooms, restaurant, bar, ...etc. I found the bedding not so comfortable, and the AC temperature setting was somewhat inaccurate (need to set at 16°C to have a comfortable room t°). Also elevators are painfully slow. I found the service rather inattentive and cold. Some examples: no toiletteries on one day, towels not replaced on another, or ice bucket left with melted ice in it .....So nothing at fault, really, but ...nothing to be excited about

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Boston and we arrived at the Hotel early on our check-in date and our room wasn't ready yet. We checked our bags with the Front Desk and went out for a couple of hours. When we returned, we got our bags and went to our room. When my girlfriend opened her backpack, she smelled perfume and noticed her perfume bottle was broken in the zip lock bag. The staff had accidently dropped her backpack when we checked our bags at the front desk. We called the Front Desk and explained the situation. They immediately apologized and asked what brand of perfume she had and they would have a new bottle sent up to her! WOW! Within a couple of hours, they delivered a brand new bottle of her perfume up to room. We were definitely impressed!

The hotel was in a great location to tour Boston with my 10 year old daughter. She loved the room with its big fluffy pillows and the fridge to keep our snacks and drinks cold. Every afternoon they have a "treat" in the lobby. One day it was little made to order sundaes and another day it was strawberry panna cotta. There is also flavored waters in the lobby. There was grapefruit , lemon/lime and when we commented to the staff how good they were they asked if we had a favorite. We gave a few suggestions and the next day there they were! My daughter couldn't believe they took her suggestion and we had to hang out in the lobby to see how many guests drank it...lol!
The location is great as well. We could walk the freedom trail which was located right around the corner. But the best part was the staff. They could not do enough for us and treated my daughter like a princess. Families will be happy here. The restaurant went out of their way with a great kids menu, free breakfast buffet with adult purchase, indoor pool and outdoor lounge area to relax and sun. And if you need something and don't see it just ask. The staff was always willing to find a solution.
The hotel rooms show a little wear and tear but everything was very clean.
The split elevators were time consuming but usually only a short wait for them.
The food was very high quality and average price for hotel dining. The breakfast buffet chef was very accommodating to special requests.
There is also a grab and go breakfast with great coffee for only $2.00 and other reasonably priced offerings.
I would recommend this hotel not only for business but also for families. We just got home and my daughter is still smiling from the memories of her stay.
