very nice place but keep in mind that I did not receive any assistance with luggage when I arrived. Gold level girls and gals are amazing.
You will not be disappointed overall but lack of downstairs front door service.

The people that have worked there for a long time like Bob, the
bellman and a few of the people behind the check in desk are so
kind. And of course the two gentleman who over see Katy, and Harley
are great too. The fairmont is a beautiful hotel. However the people they
have hired in the last few years are lazy and dont want to be bothered.
My advice is hire people that want to be there for the guest and not just a pay check. And it will be a great hotel again.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of Boston - great location. A grand, gilded entrance, huge rooms, walk in closet, small bathroom (but it is over 100 years old). Very comfortable beds - Hotel is dog friendly. The hotel dog - Catie Copley has the run of the place - wonderful black lab - Delicious breakfast in the Oak Bar - friendly staff, excellent service. There was a mix up in our reservations upon arrival and it took awhile to clear up - issue was due to AAA and cruise line. The Hop On, Hop Off trolley is in front of the hotel - close to Trinity Church - and walking distance from Copley Square shopping. Great Hotel!

This was a nice hotel. It was in a very convenient location the subway in nearby as well as the stop for the hop on hop off trolley car. There are quite a few restaurants nearby which is nice and its feels safe walking around the area at night. The hotel also agreed to give us a late checkout which is always a big plus in my book. The room was clean an pleasant but my only complaint was not very soundproof you could hear people travelling down the hall talking late at night but overall I would stay here again.

beautiful hotel. great lobby. rooms are no very large, but nice and well set up. very good service. my only complaint the last time there was water pressure in the shower. they fixed the problem. hope to go back soon

Room Tip: if not looking to go out to dinner, concierge floor food is very good. might be worth the extra cost

My sister and I took my mom to Boston for her 60th birthday and we splurged on a nice hotel. We were not disappointed. The rooms were spacious and the decor was fantastic! It was next to the public library, which is worth a visit and within walking distance of Boston Commons and the start of the Freedom Trail. You can rent a car from enterprise and they brought the car directly to the hotel with 24 hour drop off only blocks from the hotel (if you return after hours). I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Boston.

very plesant and well located....rooms are older but well appointed and with modern conveniences....bar and restaurants are fine especially for breakfast...fitness area is well located and equipment is fine
