We have visited The Mandarin Oriental in Boston for the second time with the entire family and everything was perfect, the location is excellent and the service they provide you with even more wonderful. When going to Boston surely choose this hotel having a straight connection to the prudential mall and other incredible services. So don't hesitate with your choice. The rooms are very clean and quite a big space. Their staff is always ready to help you at whatever time you would need them.

Although I was only in Boston one night, my stay at the Mandarin was wonderful. The location on Boyleston was so convenient to restaurants, bars, and shopping. You walk directly from the hotel into a lovely mall without having to venture outside. This was especially nice because it was pouring rain and then very cold and snowy the next day. The staff, from the front desk, to the doormen and bellmen, housekeepers, and bartenders were all top notch and very friendly and accommodating. Be sure to visit the concierge desk. They were outstanding and very helpful. A special thank you to concierge Kim. The rooms are beautiful, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. If you're a tea drinker, be sure to get the complimentary tea upon arrival.

I was there for a meeting and the meeting facilities and brunch were very good.

Be sure to check out the assortment of artwork in all the public spaces. There's a brochure in the room telling you about the various pieces.

We stayed at the Mandarin from March 15th to 19th this year on a trip from the UK. I must start by saying that this is my favourite hotel in Boston. Unless you want to be near the Bay, it is the perfect location. You can walk straight into the mall from the hotel without having to go outside; there are two trolley bus tour stops really close by; there is a coffee shop across the street, and, best of all, you are a very short walk from a Cheesecake Factory ! We were here two years ago and didn't look at anywhere else when we decided to return for a long weekend.
Lobby staff are courteous and very welcoming, everywhere is spotlessly clean and tidy, and the other staff such as the doorman and the porters are very helpful and attentive. We stayed in Suite 721 which was a lovely room, with a beautifully appointed bathroom (including a toilet seat which warms automatically!) with a large shower and all the bathroom amenities you could possible need. The luxurious duvet lets you snuggle into the really comfortable bed, and I slept very well which is always a big thing for me in hotels.
Housekeeping was variable but mostly very good. We had a delightful lady come to do turndown in the evenings: but we came back from a day out at 3pm one afternoon, and our room hadn't been cleaned. Someone was sent immediately, but we had illuminated the Service Room sign on the door before we went out. While it's a nice touch to put Mandarin Oriental bookmarks in our books while we are out, I would rather they hadn't taken my original bookmark which I never saw again. Also, if you take the cups and glasses to clean them, it would be helpful to bring them back !
Another aspect of hotels that can often be revealing is how well Room Service cope with your orders. We had breakfast in our room for three mornings, as we were on the early flight home and left before eating on the final day. We had the same meal every day. The first morning it was perfect and everything was absolutely lovely. The second morning, they forgot to give us glasses for our juice and the food was lukewarm, which I told them when I called down for the cart to be cleared, but the order was correct. The third morning the food was lovely and hot which was very welcome, but although we received the delicious freshly made croissants, we didn't get the toast we had requested. When I called down and was asked if everything was alright, I mentioned the missing toast and was told "You can't have toast AND croissants. You only get one. You have to choose". I pointed out that with two breakfast orders we had asked for toast with one and croissants with the other which we were obviously entitled to do. "Oh, yes" was the reply. If you don't want to know if we were happy with the breakfast, don't ask us.
We had a lovely stay, and I'm sure you will too. Just one more word of caution. When we were shown to our room we were told about the amazing automated light system. Hmm. It may be amazing, but it has an auto "Lights off" feature presumably in case you forget when you leave the room. That would be a great idea, except whenever the turndown lady left in the evening or when my husband left the room to go and do something, after a few seconds all the lights throughout the room went out leaving me in the pitch black with my book ! Even so, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: Our room looked out over Boylston St but there was no noise.

I wanted to treat my wife to a surprise 50th birthday getaway. I think I was as surprised as she was as soon as we arrived. Our room was not quite ready, so we were invited to the bar for a couple of rounds on the house. She had a Cosmo, I had a martini. Both made to perfection. It was only a short time, before the bartender arrived with a complimentary, personalized plate of truffles, with my wife's name in chocolate. We were shocked to say the least! Our room was ready, we arrived to a bottle of cold champagne, chilled glasses, and another delicious piece of chocolate raspberry cake with a lovely card wishing her a wonderful 50th. Just over the top service. We cleaned, showered ( the most luxurious shower head we ever seen, like being in a rain forest). When asked for a taxi to take us to Boston's North End, not only did they make the reservation for us, but provided us with a "personal" ride in their own Mercedes. I can go on and on, the service, the rooms, the cleanliness, the staff, everything was top notch. The car was available whenever we needed a ride. Just perfect! Thank you Mandarin Oriental for the best birthday gift a guy can give. ..and I had a great time too.

Once again a perfect short stay of 5 nights in our preferred Boston Hotel. Service, friendliness of staff and the room were great as always. Dominik Reiner from the MO in Munich is the new Hotel Manager. In our impression he further improved the service quality. Finally and long overdue WIFI is free of charge. So absolutely nothing to complain. This hotel will please even the most discerning traveler, but be prepared to pay big bucks since it does not come cheap.
