I spent months reading reviews on Boston hotels, before choosing the Lenox. The hotel is full of old Bostonian charm, the staff are ultra friendly and helpful, during your stay you feel as though you are part of a special Boston club. At first we were a little disappointed with our room, with noisy air con, water pipes, chintzy fabric, smallish bathroom but after a few hours we decided that this was all part of the charm. The location is great for exploring all of Boston by foot yet only 200 yards from underground if you want to travel furhter and quicker. Complimentary tea and coffee and afternoon iced tea was very welcome and unexpected. We ate one night in the Hotel's Irish bar and the food was well priced and tasty, if we had stayed for more than 3 nights we would have checked out the hotel's other bars but there is so much to do in Boston we found we did not have much time to hang out at the hotel but the hotel was still a great place to come home to each night.
