“Wonderful boutique hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 March 2012

The Lenox Hotel staff is very attentive and friendly. The room was a good size for a boutique hotel, nicely decorated. They were able to check us into a room in the morning with only a short wait, during which they offered coffee. We had a very enjoyable stay, and will stay again when back in Boston

Friendly and efficient service from start to finish. Comfortable, good sized room. Dining acceptable. Very well located for Back Bay, museums and concert hall. Moderate walk to historic centre- no strain as Boston is such a lovely city to walk around in. It is still a town of stone and brick rather than steel and glass, and it has a sense of history that most US cities lack (dare I say that it is a more 'European' city than most in North America).

Just back from a five night stay in Boston. We booked the Lenox through their own website and got a really good deal.On the second night there we were upgraded to a junior suite with some really spectacular views of the Boston skyline. The staff in this hotel are second to none, they are pleasant, courteous and very helpful. In particular Kelly on reception was a credit not just to the hotel but to the city of Boston itself. In summary if you like to stay in a clean professionally run establishment then the Lenox is your best bet.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room. The eleventh floor was really quiet.

My wife found some good deal on flight tickets to Boston, so we needed a hotel ... well, nothing to add to what is already said on tripadvisor : it is a great fantastic historic hotel, with excellent staff, in an excellent spot. One thing to add : the owners and staff are such honest people : I booked directly on the website of the hotel, and then 1 day later BA sends me an offer, which came to usd 40 less a night plus upgrade to junior suite .... I informed the hotel by email, and within 24 hours I got a reply from the Lenox adapting their price as well ! So honest of them. Also to mention for the kids is the hot chocolate drink they serve in the afternoon in the lobby. Very classy place, will certainly return sooner or later.

Room Tip: pay the extra for the junior suite; it is worth it

Had a wonderful and relaxing weekend at the Lenox Hotel with the husband. From the moment we arrived in front of the hotel at valet, we were greeted with amazing service and smiles all around. The central location in Boston is out of this world and you can walk to all the fun shopping, cafes and restaurants. Front desk staff was fabulous! They offered to send a complimentary drink up to our room upon arrival, which was delightful and a wonderful welcome after our drive to Boston. We're not high maintenance and didn't need much, but I know if we did, they'd go above and beyond to accommodate us. Although it may be considered "fancy" it is not stiff or stuffy, everyone is made to feel welcome and comfortable without any kind of snootiness.

Neither of us cared for the food at City Table, the restaurant inside the hotel, they need a new chef, new vision or something.....but that should not be a reflection on the hotel itself. The drinks and martinis were pretty great though, and we snacked on the house made chips and dip along with them and we enjoyed those a lot. There are also plenty of places to eat nearby. I'm already planning our next trip to the city and we will be staying here once again for sure!

Room Tip: We had a city view and it was fantastic.

This hotel is very nice inside. The front desk staff is very polite. The rooms are clean but a little bit small. The back bay area is fantastic and I highly recommend stopping by the Atlantic Fish company for dinner while you are in town.

The only complaint I have about this hotel is that when the toilet flushes it sounds like the building is going to collapse. Several of my co-workers stayed here and there's was the same way. This wouldn't be a problem except at 5am when everyone is getting ready it is very loud.

Room Tip: no great views from this hotel based on the room i had and the feedback from others.

We loved everything about the Lenox!

The staff were superb, very helpful and friendly.

Location was perfect for us, we walked all over Boston but also used the buses and subways.

We did not eat breakfast nor at the restaurant but we ordered room service one night and it was great.

It was an overall fantastic experience for us and we would absolutely recommend to anyone travelling to Boston.
