We stayed here in August (11th-15th) as a family of three.
We arrived after 3pm and were told that the room was unavailable as it was still being prepared. The explanation was that there had been late check-outs and the hotel was busy. This may have been the case, but that isn't important to a subsequent guest. Although the wait was short, I feel that this was more due to my insistence as we had been 'on the go' for 13 hours.
The room itself, no 427, faced onto Franklin Street. One King Size bed and a rollaway. The room was lovely, traditionally furnished but immaculately clean. As an avid tea drinker, the inability to make an acceptable cup of tea using a drip coffee maker (which tainted the taste of the water) was disappointing.
The turn-down service in the evening was lovely.
The swimming pool was pleasant and clean and quiet when we used it. Highly recommended after a busy day.
The hotel was within 10 minutes walk of the Aquarium and Harbour to the South and Fanueil Hall and Quincy Market.
We didn't use the dining facilities in the hotel but there is a Pret a Manger across the street for breakfast if needed.More
