Stayed at this hotel because of it's location and it's ratings. It surpassed my expectations. Room was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was roomy, lots of towels, nice little bathroom rug and a real hairdryer! The staff always friendly, helpful and attentive. The pool area was nice and clean and they kept it neat; only the water was a little too cold. The gym area had lots of cardio equipment and separate room for weights. All clean and current machines. Would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend to all. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: we got a king size room and it was perfect... we never heard any noise from other rooms or the stree...

This hotel is classy and elegant, in a way that is somewhat reminiscent of an era long past, where things were generally done with style and grace. From the welcoming bellman standing ready to get the bags from the car, pick up the car from valet or call a taxi to the concierge who eagerly recommended and arranged reservations for dinner and a show. The check in clerk readily accommodated our request for a room with a view. The shiny lobby with soaring ceilings is spacious and beautifully decorated and the room was clean and well appointed. Overall a very good experience!

This is an old but refurbished hotel. It seems to be in the heart of the city in walking distance to many of the sights and sounds of downtown. Our conference was held there so we were conveniently located.
The hotel itself has many of the charms of a hotel built in the ninetenth century. It's rooms are quaint and vary in size, shape and quality. If you are used to sleeping areas in rooms which are somewhat removed and insulated from hall traffic noise by intervening bathrooms and closets, this is not one. The rooms are a door's width away from whatever is in the halls. Although noice was a concern, it turned out to be unwarranted. My room was quiet and peaceful.
The other areas of the hotel, like meeting rooms, the restaurant, the bar and other public spaces are separated from the rest of the hotel by passages, halls and corners. But this is an old hotel; this is the way they built them a century or more ago.
The staff was more than pleasant and eager to assist customers and guests. Always helpful with suggestions and advice for out of towners like us. The lobby area was clean and inviting. We had a great time in the city on this business trip. It was due in no small part to this very nice boutique city hotel.

Room Tip: I took potluck and had a reasonable room. Roomy and comfortable.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel. The service is the BEST! The lobby is clean, crisp.... and the bar is an old bank lobby with high ceilings and engraved floors. A must see! Most importantly, this hotel is in the Financial District - walking distance to 2 harbors, major parks, cemeteries, The North End (little Italy), Cheers, The Littlest Bar (stumbling distance!), The Boston Tea Party Museum and Children's Museum. Only a $15 Uber ride to anywhere else you want to visit! And the chocolates they leave on your pillow at night are divine!!

We come to Boston every year and this was the first time we stayed downtime. While I wanted to be close to everything, I also wasn't thrilled with the $30 parking per night fee. I will say, this is one of the cheapest rates in parking in all of downtown and believe me, I looked everywhere!

Upon walking in, I knew I was going to have a great stay. The lobby is so modern and looks amazing. We got a room on the second floor and the vaulted ceilings were like none other. This isn't a "modern" hotel, but it's an up to date old-school style hotel. Everything was extremely clean and well put together. The staff were friendly and professional, however I had a bit of trouble trying to get a late check out time.

Like all the other reviews, ask for a room away from the elevator. You will hear everything! I made the request and he said it was slightly off from the elevator and I thought it was around the corner, however it was just diagonal from the elevator, but right in front of it....A little annoyed with that, but it wasn't a deal breaker for the hotel.

The hotel is int he perfect location. In a quiet area, but a quick 10 minute walk to Chinatown, 5 minute walk to Fanueil Hall and 2 minute walk to some bars and restaurants. All in all a great location and if you're looking for a great place to stay, this is the place to go.

This is a beautiful hotel in a good location. We booked our room 6 months in advance and looked forward to our stay, having stayed at Langham hotels in the UK and Australia. The welcome from the front desk was warm and helpful. I have to say that we were disappointed to find our room was opposite the elevators. This is an older hotel and the mechanism is not quiet! One door opened and closed all night. We had very little sleep on our first night. However, when we asked to be moved the next morning, it was done with no fuss, no excuses and a complimentary breakfast.
The facilities and room layout and furnishings are lovely. The concierge was really helpful and we were given a lot of information to help us enjoy our first trip to Boston. I would return because the high level of service was just what you would expect of the Langham.

Room Tip: I would have thought that booking and paying 6 months ahead, you would be given the best room of you...

Professional, attentive and friendly service from reception to maid service. Beautiful, large room overlooking post office square park. Lovely touches, sending my daughter chocolates for her birthday, the wait staff would only accept a tip on my insistence. Fabulous stay.
