“Back home for Easter”
Reviewed 6 January 2014

We stayed here since my boyfriend had never been to Boston. We had a view of Faniuel Hall and a "step out" balcony. Literally enough for 2 people to stand but was still nice. No parking but plenty of cabs or car service which is free early in the morning ( I had to visit a friend at MGH and the car brought me I think it's more for business). It's walking distance to all areas of Boston for tourists. North End across the street and Faniuel Hall is too. I recommend anyone unfamiliar with boston to stay here.

We would highly recommended this hotel to others not only because of it's convient location to Quincy market and the north end, but because of the attention and helpfulness of the staff. We were blown away with the service we received from the concerige from offering suggestions on dinning options to navigating the city. We took an early train to Boston and the hotel was able to check us in hours before the normal check-in time with a free upgrade!! This was easily a highlight of the trip for me as I had gotten sick from the traveling and being able to rest for a few hours before going to the patriots game made all the difference in the world. We look forward to making another trip to Boston and staying at the Millennium again!!

This hotel is literally right across the street from Quincy market and a minute walk from the north end! It is a perfect location to stay if you are site seeing or going out for a night on the town.

As in other review the location is unbeatable! Right out the front door is Faneuil Hall, Haymarket, Freedom Trail and The North end is less than a 5 minute walk. So 5 stars for location.
Five stars for service also. Everyone was very attentive, friendly, and helped make our stay enjoyable. The doormen are top notch and will go above and beyond to help welcome you and make your stay comfortable.
Our room was acceptable, but nothing extraordinary. Yes, we did have a AAA discounted room, so I’m hoping the full price rooms are quite a better step up. While the accommodations were good, they have started to show some wear and the lack of the housekeeping's attention to detail is a concern. It is obvious that minimal housekeeping attention has been given to the room. This was seen in the toothpaste splatters on the walls in the bathroom and torn towels. One of the paper coffee cups provided in the room had the bottom popped out upon our arrival and neither were replaced during the second day of our stay. Three stars for this area.
In the hotel lobby coffee is provided in the morning and hot chocolate in the afternoon/evening. While this amenity is appreciated, it is minimal compared to some of the offerings at other hotels. High speed internet is $9 per day per computer and valet parking is $45 per day.
Overall we had a fun stay and I would recommend this hotel to friends. We would stay here again at a discounted rate.

Friends of ours from out of town were staying in the Millennium before heading to the airport for an early flight, so we decided to stay there too. We were able to get a reasonable AAA rate for a Double room. It was right off of the highway, across from Quincy Market and the North End. It was pouring all day, so it was nice to be close to things. Even though we checked in early, there were no problems, and we even got a complimentary upgrade to a King room. The room was large, as was the bathroom. All of the appointments were new and everything was spotless! All of the staff were friendly and helpful. There was even an umbrella provided in our room. My only complaint was that the mattress was too hard, and I woke up with a stiff back. We will definitely return.

This hotel as I previously stated is excellent in the service category. From the Valet to the bar area, everyone is polite and happy. The service sets the hotel apart from a myriad of other Boston 4 stars.

Rooms: This time I stayed in a fireplace room, it was a nice touch and being on the 7th floor was great. The room was great. The only small issue is with the vaulted ceilings temperature regulation is difficult - if this would bother you stick with a Superior plus room. I would recommend calling ahead and pricing out room 708, 735, and 742. They all have great views but I personally think for the non fireplace price 708 is excellent.

I do agree with other reviewers that they need an extra fridge in the room or a minibar that is not activated and charged by motion sensor. This would be a minor update and really eliminate a major problem. I am sure you can call down for a fridge but at this hotels price point that should be necessary.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms (7) or suites (floor 8 separate building)

We had a wonderful experience thanks to Robert and his friendly staff at the Bostonian. We celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday with a visit to Boston and stayed in two adjoining rooms which were beautiful. The rooms had a nice view of the North End, very comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. We requested a mini fridge for the room and it was in the room when we arrived. The room service is very good...they delivered a complimentary tray of sweet treats for my daughter's birthday...a very nice touch! Ice is delivered right to your door whenever you need it! The doorman is always there to open the entrance doors for you when you arrive. The location of this hotel is right across the street from Faneuil Hall and just a two minute walk to the North End for a great Italian birthday dinner! We took up Robert's suggestion to dine at the Restaurante Saraceno which was very good. The farmer's market is also located on the side of the hotel with great prices on veges and fruit. We would definitely return and stay at this hotel again...such a great staff and location!

I can't say enough about this wonderful hotel! It was right across the street from Fanuel Hall and Quincy Market. The view from our room at night was beautiful! The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was spotless and the staff was friendly. Valet parking was pricey (45.00 dollars). We only stayed one night. You can park your own car for an overnight stay in the parking garage and save 25.00 dollars. The bartender named "Cat" at the hotel restaurant was very friendly and made great martinis!
