Planned a girls get away for the Saturday in March. The hotel was fantastic! The customer service was top notch! Bright beautiful clean room. Just across the street from Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. We had a handicap room that was very spacious. If I had to find fault it would be the price, very expensive for a 1 night stay. A giant thank you to the staff for making this little get away so wonderful!

Room Tip: some of the rooms have nicer views than others. I believe the hotel was sold out and we heard no voi...

My husband and I stayed the first weekend of March at this hotel and were satisfied with what we got for the price. We stayed on the top floor (7th) in a room with a king sized bed and had an ok view overlooking a main street and office buildings. We paid approx. $170/night (CDN) but wouldn't pay more than that.
Likes:
Very well located, close to metros, shops, little italy, restaurants…
Relatively quiet location
Clean and well maintained
Very polite and helpful staff (front desk, concierge, doorman)
Good sized rooms and comfy bed
Well maintained bathrooms, a little small but a huge shower. No tub.
Usually I don't care about the little soaps and shower gel but I loved their lemon bamboo scented hand soap. Nice touch.

Dislikes:
Hotel parking is $10 more than the public parking across the street at Fanneuil hall ($35/24hr period and the hotel charges $45/24 hrs period). We left our car at the parking across the street in the Fanneuil hall parking lot for the 3 nights and had no problems.

Dirty windows, but you get that in a lot of hotels.

Insulation is not the best, you could hear doors of other guest rooms slamming and some strange and drunken guests could be heard speaking loudly. This clientele didn't seem to be the norm for the hotel, we just happen to come across some intoxicated couples. The clientele was a mix of families, couples and small groups of friends, nothing sketchy.

Overall we were pleased and would return to this hotel if ever in Boston again.

Dear Recent Visitor,

Thank you for your recent visit and we appreciate your time and recognition of our services and product.

Location is important when visiting America's Walking City and our central location is one key component for a memorable visit. We recognize your comment to parking, and like most primary city hotels, this space is at a premium in the market and we attempt to limit the expense.

We hope that you future travel plans, to Boston, will find you again as our guest.

Again, thank you,

Stayed one night here mid week. In super location by Faneuil hall. Friendly staff. Room was small but nicely appointed. Could pay a little more attention to some details like rug stains in hallway, ripped sheets and keeping coffee out to available guests past 830 am since no coffee machines in room. Also had issue with our balcony door flying open in the middle of the night.

Dear Top Contributor,

We welcome your comments and thank you for your recent stay at Millennium Bostonian Hotel.

Our team is already addressing the items identified and we are scheduling hallway carpet replacements in the near future, this due to an inherent shading defect. Hence, our apologies as this may appear to be water marks through the pattern. As a four Diamond property we recognize the importance of first impressions.

In review, we agree that our lounge is the perfect location to unwind and relax at the end of a busy day touring Boston and our team receives many accolades. We hope that you will again have the opportunity to visit.

Again, thank you,

Stayed at this property on 3/1/14. I asked for a higher floor and was surprised to be upgraded to a one bedroom suite with a balcony overlooking Faneuil Hall. Super upgrade with the package deal that I reserved online, which came with a $50 credit for breakfast.

The room was gorgeous. We have the other two couples that were also staying at the property to join us in our room for cocktails. It was wonderful. From this location, you literally have the best choices of so many places to walk to. We walked to the North End for dinner and had a great time (as our friends got engaged on our walk!).

We checked out the other couples' rooms and it was very nice to see that each room is a little different; one room, a corner room with big floor to ceiling windows, also had a fireplace. The other couples' room had an enormous bathroom. Very cool property; we will return!

Room Tip: Room 441 if you want the view of Faneuil Hall

My room was quite comfortable. The hotel has a boutique feel. The location is perfect for exploring the city and is walking distance from most cool neighborhoods. It is around the corner from the Union Oyster house for an afternoon snack, Boston style.

Out of all of the Millennium hotels at which I've stayed, this one has the worst customer service, by far. To be fair, there are some good folks there, but there seem to be several staff members that treat the guest as an inconvenience. I've stayed at this hotel three times so far this year, and will not stay again. And if you're interested in M&C points, forget about it. They never seem to make it the account.

The hotel is close to Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, and the North End and the rooms are decent.
It's really a shame that the lackluster customer service is tarnishing a potentially good rating for this hotel.

Room Tip: If you do choose to stay here, ask for a room with a balcony. Nice views of the Faneuil Hall area.

Your comments related to customer service are of concern, however not specific enough to respond and/or attempt at correction. As general manager I hold myself accountable to every guest experience, and would welcome a call to discuss your experience.

Please offer us the opportunity to understand our shortcomings and to identify resolution for your future Boston visits.

My husband and I loved the hotel. It was perfect in all regards. Clean..comfortable, charming...We felt genuine warmth from all employees we encountered. Great place. I emailed prior to our stay, and return email answered all my questions. We have stayed in three hotels now in Boston proper and this was the best by far. Don't hesitate to stay especially if you find a good price.
