“Phenomenally classy experience with top drawer service and amenities!”
Reviewed 9 August 2010

This place is far and away the best hotel experience I have ever encountered. We selected at the Inn on the advice of a trusted friend who recommended the Inn after an exhausting trip and hectic day. Upon our arrival we found ourselves in our own secluded and very private suite which felt more like a luxury condo than a hotel. A full kitchen and gorgeously decorated sitting room made me wish I had more time in town to enjoy them. The bedroom was fantastic, overlooking the beautiful Back Bay and was as quiet as could be. We slept like babies in our deliciously comfortable queen sized bed, and awoke refreshed and ready to begin a new day. The bathroom was beautiful and the shower felt like something you would find in a luxury spa. We wrapped ourselves in the plush robes provided by the Inn, and went to the lounge where we were warmly greeted by the manager who showed us how to operate the fancy coffee machines, and encouraged us to partake of the bountiful complementary breakfast offerings. We enjoyed our bagels, yogurt and juice along with the delicious coffee, and checked our email with the complementary wifi. We truly have found our new favorite home-away-from-home, and cannot wait to return for another taste of luxury living. The Inn at St. Botolph is like a secret gem in the Boston Back Bay, where you come and go as you please using a keypad code system that allows for privacy and no loud, noisy front-lobby activity. We truly felt like treasured guests staying in a friend's luxury home, only that home is literally just a few steps from the center of Boston, with literally every amenity at your fingertips. Don't miss out on this gem - I can't believe it took me this long to experience it, but now that I have, I will never stay anywhere else in Boston.

From arrival to departure, everything was perfect.
I want to say dont stay here, so that there will always be a room for me.
We got in early, contacted the office and since the room was available were allowed early access. When we checked out, storing bags for the day was no problem.
Office staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Great service, they are available when you need them. but otherwise you are left alone.
I would stay here again and again, either on a long term assignment, or another getaway weekend.
Bedroom and living space were excellent, a home away from home.

The location was excellent - Back Bay on a remarkably quiet street just a short block from plenty of access to transportation, restaurants, shops. (There is a large hotel on the main street so cabs are easy to find.) The room was generous, beautifully decorated, comfortable, great work space with good lighting, reliable free WiFi, and a very well supplied kitchen area. The bathroom is on the small side but well designed. I travel about 20 days a month; this place was like a retreat but right in the middle of the city. This is a great value in Boston. The design is unique so be sure you know understand how the inn operates - self check-in and -out with key code access. The staff are there if you need them and very helpful. When I am back in Boston, I don't think I will look anywhere else.

Great staff, excellently maintained property, good for short or extended stays becuase of the in room ammenities. If you're traveling a lot to downtown I would recommend learning the subway as cabs cost about $10 plus tip to get to downtown.

Great place with an exceptionally friendly staff...

Most people who know a city do not need a full-service hotel. If you're the type who appreciates real neighborhoods over downtowns, real restaurants over hotel dining, real pubs over lobby bars then you won't miss paying full-service rates. The rooms are excellent, the basement lounge is comfy and the internet computer appreciated (many full-service hotels would charge you to check your email), the breakfast minimal but satisfactory, the location perfect.

The one bug that needs to be ironed out is the access code system, it did not work at all for us during our short stay (and didn't work for another couple that was trying to get in at the same time as us). Luckily the onsite manager was there to buzz us in, but if we had been coming back much later it might have been a problem.

We chose this inn from several we found on the internet, based primarily on the location and advertised price. We could not have been more pleased with the location, amenities, cleanliness, accessibility -- a terrific value for price. We would definitely stay here again. The only problem with giving it five stars across the board is that I'm worried it will be hard to get in once the word gets out! Our travel companions agreed it was the perfect place to stay for the Fourth of July week-end.
