Stayed a few nights while in Boston. Found the location good - walking distance to the Wharfs, Quincy Market, Hanover st and Boston Common, easy commute to Harvard, Boylston St/Commonwealth Ave and Fenway Park.

Played the upgrade card and for a small additional cost got a lovely suite.

Recommend this place.

My sister, myself and my 10 yr old daughter booked a room at the Fairmont Battery Wharf for an overnight stay to see Boston. When we got there, the person at the desk told us we had been upgraded to a suite in the Fairmont Gold building, across the street. Our jaws dropped when we saw our suite. Two bathrooms, two big-screen t.v.s, and access to the concierge lounge with free breakfast. What a wonderful experience it was. The staff was helpful and always smiling, and the accomodations were spotless and comfortable. Our stay in Boston was a memorable one, and we will be recommending this hotel to our friends.

My husband and I spent four nights at the Fairmont Battery Wharf the last week of July. We enjoyed a water taxi ride from the airport and were warmly greeted at the front desk. Check-in was fast and easy and we were escorted to our Deluxe Harbour View King room. The room was nice and clean and what you would expect from a higher end hotel. The harbour view was a bit of a stretch - if you looked directly out the window you were looking at the building across from you and you got a bit of the harbour in the left hand corner. There was a nice walking path around the buildings with benches and built-in binoculars to enjoy the view. This view was magical in the evening - we watched planes landing at the airport, boats in the harbour and the full moon rising. We had debated about staying at a hotel closer to Faneuil Market and were very happy we chose the Fairmont. It was above 90 degrees everyday and we appreciated being close to the water and having a breeze. My only criticism would be that the hotel did not have a dedicated concierge and we had to rely on the staff at the front desk for recommendations on tours and restaurants. Some staff were knowledgeable while others were not. Also, the location was a little out of the way. It was very close to the North End but a bit of a walk everywhere else. We ended up taking a taxi a few times just because we were tired from walking in the heat.

went for a waterfront experience including outside dining but unfortunately had rain for dinner; however later in evening and next morning were beautiful and sitting/walking by the water was fantastic; watching the boats go by, including the crazy party boats (sorry for the million dollar condos having to bear that noise) was spectacular. It was hard to believe one was in Boston and yet it felt like a far off vacation destination (we live in Massachusetts and usually spend an over- night in the city proper). We stayed in a gold signature waterfront room and it was perfect! The service was exceptional, the room spotless and very comfortable; oddly though, there were many lights in the room but none had a dimming feature and we missed that. The "gold" services were unlike any we have experienced and everyone should try it at least once; those staff are dedicated to making one's stay as pleasant as possible. We ate at Sensing, albeit inside (disappointingly), and the food was excellent if not simple. The basic Martinis that we drank were lovely if not for the $15 dollar each charge!!! We spend less on these in Back Bay. The walk to North End for gelato was a bonus. All in all, would definitely stay here again if we got a good deal and needed to pretend we were far far away.

Found this hotel on TA and was happy to discover the previous guests weren't exaggerating. Great location, great staff, great recommendations and lovely room. Booked a King Harbor-view room thru Expedia and almost was placed in a lesser room...was told that bookings not done directly through the hotel aren't always as advertised. Happily, an acceptable room, as advertised, was available even though the hotel was pretty well booked for the picture-perfect weekend. Breakfast at Sensing was good, although a little pricey. Our own carafe of delicious Starbucks coffee on the table is always a plus for us!

Everything about our 2-night stay was lovely, but we especially enjoyed the convenience of taking the water taxi directly from Logan to the hotel. The staff booked our return trip (get the r/t ticket and save $3 each) and we were amazed at how easily we came and left a perfect Boston weekend. Like another TA member, would have loved a jacuzzi to soak our weary bones in after a long day of sightseeing. Will happily return to this beautiful city and hotel.

My girlfriend and I booked a room in this hotel for two nights on the Valentine's weekend. Everything was perfect, the room huge, the beds very (very) comfortable, the bathroom had both a bath tub and a shower, and the view was nice, even if we were on a lower level. We paid a very good price (less than 50% the usual price) and were afraid we'd get a room in the basement or something, but no, we got the full thing.

The only problem we got is that the valet parking nearly lost our car, it took them 30 minutes to get it when we left. Except that, everything was as expected, or better.

The Fairmont Battery Wharf was a delightful place to stay while in Boston. We loved the option to take the water taxi from the airport, across the harbor, and right to the dock. The staff provided a smooth checkin and walked us to our room to highlight the amenities. The bedding and mattress was unbeatable, such a cozy night's sleep. The nespresso machine in the room was a bonus. The coffee is excellent! The bathroom felt spa like and the towels and bathrobes were plush. Breakfast in the restaurant was good, but nothing amazing. The hotel was in a great location for sightseeing. We walked to many main sights with the help of complimentary maps and directions from the hotel staff. We hoped they had a hot tub to relax in at the end of the day. Apparently this is in the works for 2011. The only disappointment was that they did not have a room available for us to freshen up in after a day of sightseeing in Boston, prior to boarding a cross country flight. Overall, we loved our stay at the Fairmont and would happily stay here again when we return to Boston!
