Been here twice and liked it on both occasions. I managed twice without a booking - but probably better to book that chance your luck - especially if more than 2 people.
The majority of the seating for this place is bar style seating (see photos to give you an idea) - a long winding bar that allows you to see what is happening in the kitchen - I liked it. For parties of more than 4 I would go with a traditional table.
Service is excellent here.
On my first visit I tried the Octopus with anchovy, salsify, & citrus as a starter; then the Garganelli pasta with red pepper, Italian sausage, pecorino. The pasta was great - the octopus good - but not something I would go back from again. On the second visit I tried the Strozzapreti pasta with the rabbit ragu - excellent.
Great wine list as well.
Definitely I will return when next in Boston.
