Overall great - suited me down to the ground.

II ticked all for 'what area is this hotel known for due' to following Very close 2-3mins to Mass Transit, Kenmore/Fenway on green line, <10mins walk from Fenway Park.

Great hosts, breakfast suited me fine.

Colleague stayed at Commonwealth Hotel - Brownstone was only 2mins walk away for excellent.

10mins walk for Fens and Fenway Park (not the same)

20mins walk from Northeastern Uni

Bars included The Lower Depths - great range of draft and bottle beers 5mins walk. MBTA - everything else so close

Room Tip: I went for 3A - a wonderful double with ensuite. Quiet. Great wifi. Shower just what I needed. A...

My wife & I were immediately enthralled with this beautiful 1896 B & B. Our room featured many original features, yet it had all the comfort and convenience one could desire in a modern accommodation. Our hosts, Vic & Li, were very friendly and helpful. The location couldn't have been better - close to the subway, Fenway Park, and Charles River. We definitely recommend this B & B, and hope to return soon.

No need for a car here. This B&B is on a quintessential residential tree-lined brownstone block (a neighborhood feel within the city), a few steps to the river and all the action of Kenmore (Fenway Park/Boston University). Walk into Back Bay for great food and upscale shopping. The T (subway) is around the corner. I will definitely stay here again. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. Free WIFI. The room was beautiful, huge, light-filled and comfortable. Way better than a hotel! I had a little trouble with noise so the second night I ran the fan and slept well. They offer a cold breakfast (cereal, bagels, cold-cuts) so I ended up going out one of the days to get something more hearty. Other than that, no complaints! I'll be back!

Park your car and take the "T" to everywhere in Boston - Kenmore station just around the corner - no kidding!
Quiet neighborhood - Proprietor is wonderful, met some terrific people staying at the B&B - breakfast is minimal but perfect for people on the go...bed comfortable, walk to Fenway a blessing! AC, shower all fine - if you cannot take stairs - you probably will have difficulty staying here - we were on the third floor but fine for us. We will definitely connect with Abigayle's again for our next stay in Boston!

We were more than pleased with our stay at The Brownstone. Victor and his wife were extremely helpful with the attractions in the area. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. They were able to provide a true Bostonian perspective on all the tourist attractions. Very nice area and minutes to Fenway Park, subway and many restaurants.

Room was clean and had air conditioning. The building is very old but kept up very well. Extremely high ceilings, antique decor and look, large wood doors etc. There is no elevator so there are lots of steps, as you will stay on the third or fourth floor. Continental style breakfast provided plenty of options (fruit, meat, cheese, cereal, breads, waffles, coffee, juice, milk, tea and spreads).

We will definitely stay here again when we return to Boston in a few years.

We were arriving later than expected and called the hotel. The hosts were very accommodating. The couple was very, very friendly. They knew how to tell us to get around the area. The room was very clean, quiet, and charming. Very close to Boston University. Great area to run if that is one of your hobbies - two blocks from the river. If we return to Boston, this is where we will stay. Only one block from the subway. It is in the back bay so not close to many of the historical landmarks. This should not keep you from staying here because the subway is very close, cheap, convenient and easy to use. Loved this place, very quaint.

The area was a quiet neighborhood close to town and Fenway Park. Good walking distance to both. Easy to get to the T. Room was simple and just enough. I stayed in a single room with a private bathroom which was located down the hall. Breakfast was simple, mainly cereals, breads and cold cuts and cheese. Lihua and her husband were very hospitable and full of information.

Room Tip: I stayed on the 4th floor which was okay but not easy if you have a lot of luggage.
