Definitely an economical place to stay, less than half the price of major DT Boston hotels. However, it seems to be an older HI, and could use a renovation. B-fast was better than avg. Overall an OK stay, just not special in any way other than price.

I used ParkSleepFly to book hotel. This is the only way they allow it if you want to park while you travel. The ParkSleepFly service never booked the hotel room. When we went to check in, there were no rooms available. I had to wait about an hour until some group that was missing a person was willing to give up a room that we could have. The shuttle service was ok. A little slow on the way back. I would never use the ParkSleepFly service again! The customer service person at the Holiday Inn Express said this service often doesn't book the hotel room. The floor we were on was loud until late. Some kids in the hall making a lot of noise. Very Disappointed!!

We stayed here for three nights with our 2 year old son for a city break. From the outside it looks pretty run down (as it is undergoing renovations) - but inside was clean and the customer service really good. The complimentary breakfast was great - although the dining area got pretty busy. Although not in the city centre - we used the nearby T station at Andrew a lot - it took about 10 mins to get to downtown. Area felt safe to walk around - and there's a good retail park next door with a supermarket, Appleby's etc. With so many Boston hotels really expensive, this place was a good low cost alternative.

stayed sun-fri for business convention. shuttle from logan was easy and cost $5. exterior of building is under going renovation, but didn't bother me since i was gone during the day. room was renovated, clean, nice. breakfast was good, no crowds during weekdays. standard hot/cold items. 2 computers and a printer in the lobby. used the subway alot, 5-10 min walk to andrew T station, neighborhood was fine, felt safe. if i had to complain about something, u don't get a daily newspaper. overall very nice, good price (for boston).

Room Tip: nice view of downtown from room on the 6th floor

My husband and I have stayed here for the second time and will stay again when we are in Boston. The reason of our stay is that I come out to run the Boston marathon each April. When vacationing we always try to find the biggest bang for our buck - and the Holiday Inn Express at 69 Boston Street has just that! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and accomodating - very helpful with getting us around Boston. The location is just a short walk from the subway and only a few stops out from downtown Boston. The continental breakfast is delicous and there is something for everyone. There is a nice shopping center behind the hotel. Shuttle transportation is provided for $5 a person and can be lined up with a phone call to pick you up from the airport when you arrive and take you back the day you depart - but you can also take the subway from the airport to the hotel. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel that is clean and comfortable and just a short subway ride to everything this is the place for you. We will see you in April!

... but no one else did.

We stayed for the night before an early flight out of Logan; the car stayed for a week.

The hotel was difficult to find using hotel's online directions; had to call home for some reference. The mystery directions added about 30 minutes of driving late night in fringe areas of South Boston. Not exactly a sterling start to a week vacation. Even when located, the directions brought us to the wrong end of a one way.

Check in was quick and easy. Room was 'non-smoking' however was clearly not. Smokey smell was strong enough to keep us awake.

5am transfer to airport was quick and timely. Pick up on return trip was not as efficient. A miscommunication between front desk and driver over which terminal we were waiting at led to a 45 minute wait in a cold rain.

Overall nothing catastrophic however it was a rather sour bookend to an otherwise fantastic vacation. There are plenty of other park, stay, & fly options around Logan and we'll be looking elsewhere next time.

This hotel is not in Boston city center. I learned that the hard way as I left Boston South Station and traveled down the highway to what looked like a highway exit to where my hotel was. In order to take the subway you needed to walk across a bridge to what looked like a rundown neighborhood. I had to cab it.

the room was fine. it looked like the hotel was going through major renovations. it was quiet. the free breakfast was fine too.

if you need a quick hotel to stay in and don't mind cabbing it into the city then this is fine for the price. but if you have the ability - stay in boston city center as it's a pain.
