I've stayed only for two days and have not used most of services provided by the hotel so my review only applies only to the hotel location and room. I also have not paid for the stay, so can't relate to the price/value ratio.
Hotel has very modern design and room has everything you need (though WiFi in the room is an extra paid). Staff is very helpful and communicative. Very good location if you are interested in historical Boston city district.
Would recommend this if you are looking for a high standard, modern style hotel near center of Boston.

Room Tip: One thing that is quite odd about the room is that the bathroom is not separated from the rest of th...

Stayed here with girlfriends over the 4th if July weekend. Service was excellent. Checkin was fast and easy. Rooms are nice with fluffy down comforters and great beds. Bathroom was a nice size with private toilet. There 3 women sharing this room so we needed extra towels which were promptly brought up when requested. The bar downstairs has a cool ambiance,!and the menu ha a lot to choose from. Food was good. It poured rain all day on the 4th so we spent the afternoon watching Soccer in the bar. Service was good, and the concierge was helpful in finding and making reservations for dinner and brunch at several local places which were also good. Hotel is very clean.

Our family stayed here for 4 nights in late July 2014. It was our first visit to New England so picking a hotel was tricky. I am a light sleeper and we needed a hotel near all of the touristy Boston stuff . The W fit all of our needs, and had a very good rate. Restaurants across the street were great (kids loved Panera). The room and hotel are modern and comfortable, and our sons loved how the mats in the elevators were changed morning & night (good morning, good night, etc). They also loved the hotel design and the Dylan's candy in the stocked mini bar. Employees were smiling, friendly & very accomodating, especially the desk and street staff. They helped us do so much! The room was so quiet, we all slept really well on the very comfortable beds. My personal favorite part was the guest robes in the bath, and the energy saver features of the room. Like everything turns off a few minutes after you leave the room.I want to give 5 stars, but there was a really strange smell in our room. It reminded me of a cleaned up previously smoked in room, which probably to most people would go unnoticed, but I could still smell it in my suitcase 3 days after leaving the hotel. :-( overall, though, we really enjoyed the W Boston, and would definitely stay there again!

As an SPG member this was our first time staying at W hotel(27k points for 2 nights). W hotels have a very 'trendy' feel to them, definitely more of a "couples" hotel - being with 2 kids we could not take advantage of the fabulous lobby bar & scene.

Check-in/Check-Out a breeze, Service friendly, Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and our room on the 15th floor was quiet, we did enjoy the sound machine :) Located in the theater district you can easily walk to Boston Harbor, Quincy Market, Faneuil Hall, Copley Place, and Little Italy(North End) to name a few. Dunkin Donuts, 7-Eleven, Panera bread and a food court are located across the street from the hotel. Access to the subway system is very close, we took it to go Fenway.

Valet parking is $49, food, drinks and room-service are on the pricier side but it goes with the location....and the location is fantastic!

Would we return to this hotel, most definitely but this time without the kids ;)

Quick weekend stay with the family during our tour of New England. Overall the most enjoyable experience and definitely would visit again.

The location is excellent for walking to many sights including the park. Great restaurants nearby, very active nightlife. WARNING: the nightlife is very active a la Manhattan or Miami in this neighborhood. There's no impact to the upper floors but the lobby is definitely hopping, almost like a club scene. EDM music, people on the prowl, dim lights, people lounging on sofas, etc. My wife and I left the kids upstairs and had an *amazing* night in the lobby bar!

Like all W's we've enjoyed in the past, the service was very efficient, accommodating, and prompt. It's Ritz "lite" but without the formality. We had an amazing corner room with floor to ceiling windows all around. Typical W hip feel to the rooms. Overall exceptional.

Room Tip: Corner rooms and suites are spectacular.

Flew from Florida to Boston for a birthday celebration weekend, and stayed at W Boston for 4 nights. IT WAS AMAZING! The staff is soooo customer/guest centric and can't do enough to make you feel special. Yes, I'm a platinum, but still saw others treated wonderfully. Special mention to Alex at front desk (thank you for the champagne to celebrate my birthday); Helena for printing the tickets to Shear Madness and Red Sox-Yankees game that I left 1,000 miles away; Alex in the restaurant, for making breakfast each morning special; Caroline B. For ensuring that all was super special. The location is amazing, especially if you like Theatre District; Public Garden; anything! Was so nice to spend the weekend there.

Room Tip: If lucky enough for a corner room, view is amazing!
