Couldn't find a hotel in Boston, but happened across this B&B. Was far less expensive than any hotel I could have found in the area anyway. Enjoyed the convenience of the location. Quiet building. Fridge and cabinet were stocked with some simple items. Would stay again.

I was generally not happy with the accommodation. We had the room with an adjoining bathroom. The lock to the hall door on the bathroom didn't work properly. It was hard to wash or shave at the sink because of the cabinet overhead. The kitchen fridge couldn't be opened properly because there wasn't enough room. The room was very hot and stuffy but we couldn't run the air conditioner because it was blowing directly at the head of the bed. My sister slept in a separate room and shared our bathroom. She had a nice large cool room but the key for her door was lost. She couldn't use the lock on her door. On the positive side, the hostess was very friendly and pleasant. There was a nice amount of food in the fridge for breakfast for two days.

We are so sorry this guest was disappointed in our accommodations and are quire perplexed at this guest's review issues. The lock on the bathroom door is a high quality lock from Restoration Hardware. We checked it and found it working properly. We do not see that the refrigerator is hard to open. There is no cabinet over the mirror on the bathroom. The ac unit has directional vents.

Wow. What a week we spent there. We were in Boston for our Daughter's wedding at Trinity church, and spent the last few days for the preparation of the wedding in Boston. We booked all the rooms for our other children, including my oldest daughter with her three young children and her in law's who we coming from France.
Kate, the owner, welcomed us very warmly, explained everything to us, and we were all set for a nice week in this very well maintained and managed B and B, very conveniently located a few blocks from key places in Boston; and the South end is a nice area to stay when in Boston.

The 3 kitchens of the accommodation were loaded with breakfast food for the first couple of days, and not basic items; all organic and excellent quality healthy food, which was very appreciated. One of the rooms does not have a kitchen, and therefore breakfast is included in the rate. What a breakfast: copious and healthy (see above); and even the grapefruit is prepared luxury hotel style with all pieces pre-cut, ready to eat.

The bedrooms are roomy and the beds comfortable. Same for the bathrooms, which are well furnished with all the items needed there (many towels and bath robes of good quality), including high quality shampoo and shower gel, and also tooth brushes and paste.

Can only recommend it for your next stay in Boston, which we will choose when we go visit our daughter there.

I stayed at Montgomery Place with two friends for a conference held at the Copley Marriot. This place was much more comfortable than had we stayed at the conference venue. Cozy beds, plenty of space, great breakfast (and they'll even make it super early if you need to). I recommend the same to conference-goers that want to be able to step out of the frenzy and actually have an enjoyable stay in the city. I'd also go back if in Boston on vacay.

Room Tip: I had the middle 'auxiliary' room, no street noise. I think the front room may have some str...

We stayed in room 2 for 3 nights and recommend it! Great location. The room had a good size, was very clean. Nice bathroom too. Lisa made our stay even better by stocking the kitchen with basics. So nice to be able to enjoy a coffee without having to go to a shop!

I loved Montgomery Place! I was in town for a week for gigs at Symphony Hall, and Montgomery Place was like a home away from home. The brownstone itself is gorgeous and they've decorated it beautifully, keeping the original charm but updating it with modern touches.

I stayed in Unit 5, which had a lovely sitting room, cozy kitchenette, ample bedroom and a gigantic bathroom. The futon was comfortable and there were extra blankets for the chilly spring air. Lisa and Kathe even left cereal and OJ in the fridge - a very thoughtful touch since I was a late night arrival.

The neighborhood itself is lovely - within walking distance of pretty much anything you'd want to see in Boston. I spent hours exploring the neighborhood and parks.

All in all, this was a fantastic place to stay and I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

The Montgomery Place was an excellent choice. Lisa and Marie were wonderful and very helpful. I came with my Mother and Cousen and we all had beautiful rooms. Even the Auxillary room is very large and beautiful. The rooms are very clean and charming. The kitchens are also stocked very well with breakfast foods. The location is walking distance to many nice restaurants. Try the Ethiopean restaurant. Such a wonderful choice. I thank Marie and Lisa for making the stay a great. Thank you from Nicole in Canada
