We stayed at the Ames Hotel and as we had an early theater show decided to eat at Woodward. Unlike many hotel bar/ restaurants, it seems to draw an outside after work crowd. The decor is excellent and the staff fantastic. We weren't quite as enthusiastic about the food. My friend had fish and chips. Okay but the batter is a bit heavy. She also head the brussel sprouts with pancetta. They were great but swimming in butter sauce. Meh. On the other hand, I had the short rib tortellini. Excellent if a bit of a small portion.

Overall a great place to chill but not a foodie destination.

During our stay at the Ames, we decided to have a late dinner at Woodward. We started with a cup of french onion soup. For our main dishes I had the Woodward burger and my husband had the braised pork. Both entrees were very tasty, but the burger was definitely our favorite. It was so juicy and flavorful!! They also have a good wine list and we each found a kind that paired well with our entrees. Service was prompt and the atmosphere was good. It is definitely a good option for Ames guests as it is located inside the hotel.

This is a great bar to have a trendy vibe while enjoying a drink or light dinner. Everyone is always nice here, and dressed to impress. Somewhat hidden, as there is no sign outside. This is one of my go-to bars.

We stayed at the Ames so this was our restaurant. The bar staff, waiters and hostess are Fabulous. We had oysters and caesar salad twice, and brick chicken twice and both were great. Great restaurant if you are staying here and eat at a special place for lunch or are tired. Some nights the bar and restaurant are full and noisy. People come here after work.

Great bar with a fantastic view to have a drink. Great bar for a date, fireplace added to the ambiance. The food is good enough, not bar food.
