“Great bar for snooty tastes!”
Reviewed 11 May 2014 via mobile

My friends and I stopped for a late night drink on a Thursday. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. The liquor selection was sufficiently top shelf, and the cocktails were interesting and very tasty. Towne was a great place to kick back in a casually sophisticated atmosphere. If I am ever in the Back Bay area of Boston again, I would like to make another visit to Towne.

“Good cocktail menu”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

I've come here with friends for drinks a few times, and, although it can be difficult to snag a spot at the bar, it's a fun place to hang out and their specialty cocktails are good (if a little expensive). I've also come here for dinner once, the food was good but not outstanding.

“Pre-Show Dinner”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Towne is in a great location to everything in Back Bay, tucked into a corner of the Hynes Convention Center. I've been there before for functions, but this time we went for a pre-show light dinner at Berklee. All around, a nicely varied menu for exactly this type of meal. Great drinks, excellent service, and a high energy room. Place was packed by 6:45, but the service did not suffer. Excellent Wellfleet oysters, flatbread lobster pizza to share along with grilled parmesan broccoli and cauliflower.

“Buzzy bar”
Reviewed 21 April 2014 via mobile

Went there with my wife while on holiday in Boston. Really good bar quick service efficienent and the bar snacks are great value for money. Looks like a haunt for the after work locals to hang out. Would recommend trying this bar.

“Friday night dinner”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

We went to the Towne Stove and Spirits with a group of about 40-50 people who were attending a convention together. We were served together in one large room by ourselves. The food was excellent, I had the filet mignon and my wife had half a baked chicken. We thought both were excellent.
