I spent 26 days in the hotel. Most of that time the hotel was under renovation. I was there because my wife was a patient at MGH. I was only offered the reduced MGH rate for 14 of those days. Just over half of my stay. Dont be fooled by the 'we are providing a service to community at that rate'. They couldnt sell those rooms anyway considering they are on the second floor, just above the construction on the street. Given my situation the most I used the hotel for was to leave my bag. So they are such good community citizens to have charged me thousands to watch my bag.
After my wife is discharged, earlier than expected (Thank God), they feel it was still socially acceptable to charge me for 3 no shows. An additional $500. I said, 'my wife is discharged and we are leaving, cancel the rest of my stay'. What part of that sounds like I will be back for my reservations over the next couple of days?
I call and they neglect to return my calls, flippantly offer to refund half of the charge, and believe they have the higher moral ground the whole time. If I didnt return after the first no show, is it reasonable to assume I will return on a consectutive reservation?
Basically hotel is feeding on folks that are at thier lowest points. Again, Dont believe they are doing a community service line.
