I love Beacon Hill, quaint streets and shops, like a clean Victorian scene.

Best place to stay is the BHHB. The rooms are small but beautifully decorated, nice bathrooms and all mod cons.
Comfortable big bed.

The breakfasts are huge eand yummy.

This place is not a proper hotel, it is a restaurant with rooms. Do not expect a lobby, big bar, room service etc.
But you can expect a comfortable stay in lovely surroundings in a great part of Boston.

Room Tip: 205 was ours, very nice

The Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro is a wonderful hotel in the historic Beacon Hill neighbourhood of Boston.

It is very well located, making it easy to walk to the Boston Common, Newbury Street, and downtown. Other parts of the city can be reached by taxi, which are not overly expensive compared to some other destinations. Beacon Hill itself is enchanting, with shops, cafes, and beautiful architecture.

Our room was on a street corner several floors up, giving us a great view of the intersection near the hotel and providing plenty of light into the room. The room itself was relatively small but very comfortable, with a great bed and modern bathroom facilities. Our room was at one extremity of the hotel, making Wifi unreliable but there is a quiet lounge area on the second floor in the hotel where the Wifi can be accessed without problem.

One of the best parts of our stay was the bistro on the main floor of the restaurant. It is decorated in a simple but classic style that fits very well into Beacon Hill's feel. The food was excellent, and the bar is a great place to relax after a day of walking around the city.

The breakfasts were incredible. They were included with the room but you are able to choose anything from the bistro's breakfast menu. This is no continental breakfast - during our stay we had everything from the standard eggs and hash-browns (with toasted warm sourdough bread) to pancakes and yogourt with granola and fresh fruit.

The hotel also has a roof-top patio with chairs and tables. A great place to sit and people watch, and the site of our engagement!

Parking is a little tricky since the hotel is located in a dense, historic neighbourhood. Parking at the nearby Boston Common was cheap enough, and since you can get around on foot or taxi it is good place to leave your car during your stay.

We strongly recommend the Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro and look forward to our next stay - for us, the hotel itself is worth the visit to Boston.

Great location a block from Boston Common and Parking at Boston Common. Room was clean and cozy- felt like a guest room at a friend's house more than a hotel. Breakfast is included in the room price and it is out of sight (and I'm a total food snob). 18% gratuity added to room charge for breakfast at the bistro but WOW! so tasty. And the service was great- felt very welcome.

BHB is in a fantastic spot (Charles St in Beacon Hill is perfect for strolling and shopping) just on the corner of Boston Common near downtown and public transportation. Our room was simple but nicely decorated and comfortable. And the best part is delicious breakfast at the Bistro, included in the room rate - anything you want from the menu, from french toast to salmon omelette!

Room Tip: Some street noise in Room 202 - maybe third floor or inner-facing rooms would be better.

The location is wonderful - just steps to the Boston Commons and Gardens. Friendly staff in a hip boutique hotel. Parking in the Commons Garage - just park at the far end and it's a short walk to the hotel. Free breakfast too!
Able to find a great deal on "jetsetters"

Room Tip: It never hurts to smile!

The Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro were everything I'd hoped for on a three-day trip to Boston...good location for lots of sight-seeing, quiet, pretty retreat every evening, personal service (not many rooms, so the staff knows who you are) but not so intensely personal as that at a bed-and-breakfast. I was able to get to many places on foot from this hotel and public transportation is a short walk across Boston Common. The staff is knowledgeable and most willing to assist you in getting to know the area. Even when they were busy with the bistro end of the business (the check-in desk performs dual functions for hotel and bistro), I was never neglected.

The room I had was small but well-appointed and perfect for a single traveler. With two windows, there was plenty of light; so I never felt confined by the space. I'd definitely choose to stay here again.

If you expect a separate check-in desk and a hotel lobby, this is not the place for you. Also, if you need elevator assistance, be sure to mention that when making your reservation. Staying in certain rooms requires climbing stairs in this charming little inn.

The Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro brings out the best Boston has to offer. The best location -Charles Street is truly lovely- and the central location is ideal for sight seeing.
My accomodations at Beacon Hill were perfect. I felt at home rather than in some sterile run-of-the-mill hotel. All the amenities, from the furniture to the bathroom to entertainment system are up to date.
I'm so happy to have found this gem of a hotel. I'll be back with out a doubt, and to anyone who plans to visit, dont miss sunday brunch- its to die for!
