I am having coffee at Render Coffee several times per week. The Cappuccino is just awesome. The volume is just right and the coffee is strong. They don't serve the typical bathtubs of coffee usually found in the US. Their pastries are good, I like especially the cohocolat croissant, but the almond croissant is also nice. Great patio in the back. Their quiches are all house made. This is a place to relax for "slow coffee". I recommend it for breakfast, lunch and coffee in the afternoon.

Anyone that's up for a serious coffee made by serious coffee nerds ought to look up Render, down on Columbus Avenue. It's housed in an old Victorian brownstone with a sunny entrance and front seating area that overlooks the street. Most of the food in the cabinet is made in the minuscule open kitchen behind the counter, with some exceptions like the pastries from local baker hero, Iggy's.

The macchiato is done "noisette" style and packs a real punch; something we returned for a few times during our Boston visit. Pity we weren't around long enough to partake in a little free coffee cupping. And you've got to love those Iggy's bagels; toasted and spread with a normal amount of cream cheese. Not those artery-clogging mountains you get in NYC.

the coffee was excellent and we are what you might call "coffee snobs". The service was very friendly, snacks were great (we had muffins and egg and cheese bagels), and loved that they used the ceramic pour method to serve the coffee--always comes out better that way I think. Overall a nice place!

They have great egg and cheese sandwiches on bagels and also 7 grain bread. Each one is made to order. They also make your coffee by individual cups from fresh ground coffee for each cup. Skip the Dunkin Donuts and hit this place instead.

I got there before the Sunday morning rush.
My americano was good enough although there was no crema when it was served. That's always one of the ways I judge how the shot was pulled and how much the barista cares about what they're presenting to their customer.
The staff were friendly and the vibe was good.
My friend liked her cappuccino.
Solid place to find find non-chain coffee and would be a good place to hang out if the weather was bad.
