Try to stay on the harbour side...otherwise it's a raised highway rd. you're looking at...but for a vacation short stay, it doesn't matter...you'll be out. The room was very clean, bed comfy, no safe in the rooms...but free at the front desk. My only complaint would be that the bathroom being split in two...sink, and through the door the rest...is situated right beside the bed. In my suite anyhow. So a light going on and teeth brushing after one has retired is disruptive.
Good breakfast. Friendly staff...and a walk over a bridge every time you head into town...tedious...not a good location if you are not able to walk far. But the hop on hop off goes right by...as well as those bike rentals...out front..
All in all enjoyable. Would recommend.

Room Tip: Harbour side.

I recently stayed at this hotel for one night. I had an early morning flight and was there in time to partake in their complimentary breakfast, which was very good. Make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, egg sandwich biscuits, oatmeal, fruit, yogurts, pastries, etc. It was a very nice selection of not only food but beverages too.

The room was a studio suite and very spacious. Everything you could think of was there in the room and extremely quiet. I did not hear other people or anything from outside.

Location was right on the water and very close to the USS Constitution, which I visited but unfortunately did not get to tour due to stormy weather. I did however go to the museum which I would highly recommend. It's a little over a mile away to the Fanueil Hall area so you can either walk it or take a cheap cab ride over.

Ladies at the front desk were helpful in suggesting a lunch location, the Warren Tavern, and that very good, reasonable prices, and close by.

This felt more like a retirement home or an apartment building than a hotel. The rooms were tiny - it's less a suite, more a "standard room with a wall through the middle of it". The only bathroom was off the bedroom, so anyone using the bathroom had to go through the bedroom.

We got in late after flying from the West Coast, and were awoken at 7am (4am Pacific) by a noisy landscaping crew outside our window.

It's a neat location, but probably a mile or more to anything worth eating.

Checked in Friday, July 11 and stayed through Monday, July 14, 2014. Loved the location on the wharf right next to the USS Constitution which we visited a couple of times. We could just cross the bridge and be in the North End of Boston for a delicous, Italian dinner. We also purchased tickets for the hop-on, hop-off trolley which picked up at the USS Constitution. We had a two day pass for the trolley which allowed us to just walk a block and get on the trolley. The trolley would take us all over Boston. So, we ended up using this as our sole means of transportation all over the city. It worked great. The breakfast at the hotel was crowded but had good food. We ended up eating outside as that was the only spot with open tables. Luckily, the weather was nice enough for that option. Staff at the hotel were very friendly, beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family of five stayed here for a week on trip to Boston. The location was great. We were able to easily walk to sights or ferry/subway connections. The room was comfortable and quiet. The customer service was outstanding. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful; especially Lisa and Tiannah. They went out of their way to help us with questions and needs. It was so nice to start the day with breakfast so we could tour the sights. The breakfast staff was great. They worked hard to feed the large numbers of people and were so friendly to everyone. Luis, Lioudmila, and Derrick did a great job. We were impressed by the customer service! thanks for making our stay in Boston a great experience!

I stayed on a Saturday night. We were lucky enough to get a room on the 7th floor with a view of the water. We also had a great view of the Charlestown Bridge. The best part was the location was the proximity to the City. We were a short 10 minute walk from the "Little Italy" section with great restaurants and Mike's Pastry (which was worth the short line). Breakfast was included as well as wifi, which is always a great perk. I would definitely stay at this location again.

Room Tip: I would suggest a higher floor to get a good view of the Harbor.

Part of what makes this Res. Inn the best out of many I've stayed at is first of all the wonderful view! We had a room at the end of the hall on the 7th floor, it was awesome! The room was bigger than most Res. Inn's also. They had a nice pool and hot tub too! That is not easy to find these days! All of the staff at this hotel were EXCELLENT! Some of the friendliest people I've experienced at a hotel! Lisa gave us tons of great tips on restaurants and the different city trolley/bus tours. She was a big help after getting to town on the 4th (a day after they moved the fireworks to the 3rd... sheesh!). Overall, when we get back to Boston, we will stay at this hotel again!

Room Tip: For a better view, get a higher floor and at the end of the hall.
