“Very Courteous Staff, GREAT Location!”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

Stayed after a local concert. Very friendly staff. Smaller hotel so you get more personalized service. Given a room on the top floor (10). Decent view. Both windows opened about 6 inches which is a big plus for me! Fresh Fall Boston air. Perfect location to walk to Back Bay shopping, dining. Parked at the prudential center across the street for $39 overnight. Would stay again.

Room Tip: Ice machines only on certain floors.

I was in town for a business convention. My plan was to stay at this hotel to avoid the big crowds across the street at the main convention hotels (Westin and Marriott). The wait for an elevator at the big Marriott was 15 min. This hotel offered a more casual, relaxed setting. On our last day, my wife and I wanted to visit the Kennedy Library before flying home. I mentioned this to the hotel valet (Rafael) and he offer to arrange for us to take a hired car to the Kennedy Library and then to the airport. What a great suggestion. The driver was a super nice guy and even took care of our luggage while we were in the library for 2 hours. Great way to end our stay in Boston. Annette and Bernardo at the front desk were awesome.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor on the back side of the hotel.

My husband and I were in Boston to see a Red Sox game and stayed at this wonderful Hotel. Check in was quick, staff was wonderful and the room was clean, with a magnificent view of the city. A short walk from the train and an easy walk to Fenway Park. I absolutely loved this hotel and look forward to staying there again.

My wife and I travel to Boston frequently. Surely, there are many hotels to choose from - including a number of Marriott properties. Having said that, our favorite by far, is the Boston Copley Square hotel on Exeter Street. It is truly one of Boston's best kept secrets - small (very much like a fine European B&B.. It is ideally located near Newbury & Boylston shops; the staff is warm, courteous, knowledgeable and highly professional; the rooms are immaculate; countless friendly touches such as plentiful newspapers, coffee and tea service always available in their lounge. Management staff is readily available and it is obvious that they really care about their guests. There are certainly hotels where you can pay more - but none where you will get more!

I spend 45% of my life in hotels and so I have seen them all. This hotel has a manager that really cares and it shows in the way the front of house staff treat guests. The hotel is situated right in the centre with loads of shops in walking distance. It is not lavish but very very nicely kept and cared for. The manager walks the floor, drops in at breakfast to chat to the guests and obviously works his hotel to be customer focused.
If you want a really good hotel, very central and with a guest house atmosphere, then you won't go wrong staying here. Thank you to Bernando and his staff for a lovely perspective of Boston hospitality

The Courtyard by Marriott at 88 Exeter St. is one of Boston's best kept secrets. Nestled in a lovely historic building in Back Bay, the Courtyard meets every expectation when it comes to convenience, personal service and lovely accommodation. This is our "go-to" hotel when we head for Boston either for pleasure or for business and we have stayed there on and off for several years. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful, courteous and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and comfortable after a day of either sight-seeing or meetings. Not only is 88 Exeter centrally located within the city, it is easily accessible from the Massachusetts Turnpike, the Back Bay station of Amtrak, or the airport. We will always choose this property and look forward to our return!

Room Tip: Choose the corner rooms - either the 04 or 05 line - for old fashioned Boston charm.
