We had the pleasure of staying at the Courtyard Copley Square (88 Exeter) on a family weekend getaway to Boston 12/14 to 12/15. From the front desk staff to valet, housekeeping, etc., everyone went out of their way to make our visit a wonderful experience. The front desk staff provided recommendations for dinner and even made the reservations for us. Location was great with so much within walking distance. The valet staff arranged transportation for us to the Opera House for the Nutcracker performance and even the cold wind and blowing snow did not phase them. The room was roomy and comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices and great service. We had planned for a special weekend getaway and that is exactly what we got! We would definitely go back again!

Room Tip: We were on one of the higher floors and it was extremely quiet. Very little traffic noise which was...

This is a historic property, so rooms are small. Views are limited. Layout is unusual. But the staff was excellent, food was good, and service in the breakfast restaurant was excellent. The lobby is comfortable for small group meetings, but hotel is so close to a larger Marriott property that you must coach the driver, and anyone meeting you at the hotel that you are at 88 Exeter.

I must pay respect to Marriott-world-wide for consistency. Staff and managers are well trained and provide good service across a wide range of locations and situations.

Room Tip: My room (only time I have been there) was OK for a single traveler, but a bit small if you are trave...

I rarely give an excellent vote to a hotel I have been in, the Courtyard at Copley Sq comes pretty close to deserving that honor.

I contacted the hotel prior to arrival and requested an upgrade due to Marriott status and my change in routine of staying at the full service Marriott nearby. I was happy to hear back from the GM that they would do what they could to accommodate me. On check in I was given a very nice corner room, nice and large with a great view down Exeter St towards Boyston St. Really was a nice room. Seems like on any floor that room would probably end in 05...

As others have stated, this is really a great location for anything Boston. You can get anywhere easily from here, and so much is so close. Just a convenient area to stay in, and the hotel is tucked away in a pretty quiet spot in the midst of it all.

I found all the employees to be helpful, friendly, and they seemed to be doing what they could to accommodate the customer.

There is not a restaurant after breakfast hours here, but plenty of choices in the area. Shaws supermarket is right next door and has a Dunkin Donuts inside for those that need that fix.

My only real issue is the gym...it is sub par for what you might expect in a hotel of this size. They do offer a discount pass to Boston Sports Club, which is great, and a nice touch. But it is still $15.00 with the offer.

I also think this hotel might be on the verge of needed an update. Furnishings are more from Courtyard past than Courtyard present.

That all said. This is a very solid choice for a stay in Boston...

We were in Boston for 2 nights over Thanksgiving weekend and stayed at the Courtyard at Copley square, which we booked last minute the night before our trip. The staff greeted us with free pumpkin cupcakes from delicious Boston bakery sweet. The room was nice and quite big, definitely great for the price. The front desk called us like 20 minutes after check in to ensure we liked the room and did not need anything. They helped us make Thxgiving dinner reservation and were just super nice. The location is great! Steps from Copley square and Boylston street. 10 minutes away from Boston common. Would highly recommend it and would go back again.

Checked in Friday. No hassle getting a room at one pm. Seconds from back bay station, newbury street shops and beautiful public library. King room could be bigger. Bathroom huge. Very clean. Our second time here and we will be back. Was offered ten dollar breakfast coupon upon check in. Did not need parking which can be high in city hotels. Love it

I travel extensively and know when I have found a treasure. It is in the heart of Boston and is over one-hundred years old although it has been updated for the modern traveler. We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed the quiet location, excellent service and food, and exceptionally friendly staff members. Close to all the tourist locations and a beautiful mall. Thank you for making our first visit to Boston so pleasant!

Room Tip: Higher floors will allow for a better view.

Spent a night here with the family last weekend. Service was good, room was very large (room with two queens) and facility in general seemed well done. I would stay here again with no issue. I found the price to be very reasonable as well given the location.
