“Wow feeling !”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

My wife and I stayed at the hotel to visit our newborn granddaughter who was just three days old at the time. We mentioned while making our room reservation that this was the reason for our stay. At the registration desk we were congratulated by the staff (the reservationest had taken note and relayed the information). Once settled into our room, room service knocked on the door and delivered pink balloons along with a dessert tray, compliments of the house, celebrating the new baby arrival.
I've travelled extensively for years all across the country. When a hotel takes the time and effort to deliver a personal touch, it creates a wow factor. The Loews hotel did just that. Just as important obviously is the fact that the rooms and location are superb. Thank you Loews !

Nice place, near to Trinity Church and Copley Plaza. The bathroom is a little order, urged to be renovated. Breakfast was good but too long waiting and so muche expensive you can rather cover with the amount of voucher.
Staff at reception pleasant and friendly, good score for them.

Great hotel, big room and bathroom and convenient location. Concierge gave excellent advice. Great free coffee facilities but no breakfast included in price which would have added to the experience. Would definitely stay again.

The Loews Hotel in Back Bay is excellent. Great location, nice rooms and modern amenities. Very recent renovation ensures guests are coddled in the nicest amenities.

I found it easy to walk to a number of nice areas to visit and many restaurants.

Interestingly, the hotel is a converted Boston Police Headquarters. So the building has some very nice architectural features.

The Loews hotel in Back Bay is very well located, close to some great restaurants (Red Lantern) and shopping (Newbury street). We liked our ample room with 2 queens where we stayed with our two daughters. The rooms are clean and the bathroom has a bath with separate shower, which we liked very much. Coffee and tea you can get in the lobby all day and it was very nice to sit and watch the news on the big screen over there. A few things we didn't like: Water in the room costs 7 dollar, which we didn't like, nowadays there are lots of hotels that have complimentary waters for their guests. And the wifi is free only for 3 devices, for more you have to pay. Parking costs are very high. But overall we enjoyed being guests of the Loews in Boston.

My wife and i stayed three nights in a deluxe king room. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel was very clean and quite comfortable. It is well situated near various subway lines and a number of attractions. We were even able to walk back after a Red Sox game.
The hotel has a bar and restaurant which adjoin one another on the inside and each has separate space outdoors. Having outdoor space like this makes the stay much more enjoyable. To be able to have a drink or meal outdoors in the nice weather is infinitely superior to being indoors. I think this is one of the main competitive edges the Loews has over its competition. And the food at both the bar and restaurant was quite good. I was especially surprised at how delicious the lobster roll was, and the large serving of lox at breakfast was outstanding.
The hotel has 2 entrances - one on Stuart Street and another on Berkley. We parked on the Stuart side as that was what was on our printed reservation. Turns out that the parking valets are on Berkley. The person at check-in was able to arrange to have the valet go around and get our car so we did not have to traverse the crazy zig-zag Boston streets to get to the right location. After driving for several hours, this was most appreciated.
The hotel also has a lounge with couches, computers, large screen TV, and most importantly, courtesy coffee all day long from the best hotel coffee machine i have ever seen. There were about eight options (americano, espresso, cappuccino, etc.). The coffee was piping hot and very delicious.
We would definitely return to Loews during our next visit to Boston.

Anthony P, thank you very much for the great review of your visit and especially for noting your experience in Precinct Kitchen + Bar! Yes, we couldn’t agree more about the value of the outdoor space and we have tried to create an offering in this space that is different from other hotel restaurants; we like to think of it of an independent restaurant experience that happens to be in a hotel. We are pleased that you enjoyed your meals with us. Also, the coffee maker in Apothecary is fantastic! Our guests love that this is a complimentary offering 24 hours a day…that poor machine gets no rest!

Thank you again and we hope to have the pleasure of seeing you again soon!

This will definitely not be our last stay at a Loews hotel! The staff was so friendly and attentive and made out experience so personal as we celebrated our first anniversary. The hotel was impeccably clean and the rooms were beautiful. The restaurant was great and had a nice patio to sit outside and a have a couple drinks. I highly recommend Loews Boston!
