In other circumstances I probably would have given Atlantic Fish a 5 - what is stopping me is expectation vs. reality. There is so much hype about how amazing it is, and it is so hard to get a reservation, and trip advisor fans say it is fantastic - the problem for me - my expectation was so high, it couldn't meet my elevated "wow" expectation. So, lets be fair - the food was delicious, and it was fresh and served HOT. I have nothing negative to say, except that given all the amazing reviews, I was not amazed. I was pleased, I was satisfied, I can not complain..... and I would definitely recommend....

Went for lunch and didn't need to worry about dinner!
For $18 had north atlantic salmon with 2 sides..... plus the
bread they served was better than the North End Italian Restaurant
we ate at the night before. Waiter (Daniel) was very friendly and attentive.
Also had a black (Guiness) & tan (Sam Seasonal) that capped a great
dining experience.

Being a lover of seafood and a lover of travel, I have sought out great seafood places from coast to coast. Atlantic Fish Company is right up there with the best. The menu is large and includes an extensive shellfish list prepared in different ways along with a generous number of fresh fish-of-the-day. There are non-seafood items too for those who haven't experienced the joy of great fish. I had swordfish prepared exactly as I requested along with some excellent gnocchi and vegetables, two of a large number of side dishes included with the entree. The wine list is excellent and quite large. Domestic and imported draft beers are offered too. Service was very good. My waiter Brad knew his menu and was present when needed and not present when not needed. Atlantic Fish Company is not cheap but competitive with other excellent restaurants. The interior is very soothing with a moderate noise level. Al fresco seating is available too. It's located very conveniently in downtown Boston on Boylston St, a major shopping venue near Copley Square and the "T," Boston's excellent subway system. It's a great place to eat. When in Boston, don't miss it!

We tried 'em all, and the Atlantic had the best! Also the fried Oysters were outstanding! The sauce the mussels came in was one of the best we've had, amazing! Don't pass on the fresh made warm bread either! Great service and atmosphere too!

Fresh fish - and steak - beautifully cooked and served by waiters who have the perfect balance of friendliness and professionalism. My husband declared his filet mignon one of the best ever. Our wine was served at perfect temperature. The bread served to start consisted of 3 delicious varieties. You will need to book as the place was packed - a sure sign of quality. Go eat here - you won't be disappointed.
