Description: We know shopping induces hunger - and Legal Sea Foods reels in those who want to splash down for a meal or grab-and-go. Our restaurant is located on the upper level of Copley Place, with direct indoor access to both the Westin and Marriott hotels as well as to the Prudential Center. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Boston's historic South End. Here the views and the seafood are second to none.

Met up with a friend from out of town on a recent Wednesday night for dinner at 7:30 and we finished at 10:10. It wasn't our intention to linger over dinner for that long, but that is what happened. The restaurant was less than half full, but the service was beyond lame. Our server seemed very distracted and not in the moment. The food was good but the service was extremely poor, and it marred an much anticipated get together. We waited over an hour for the meal be served and no one came to explain. Finally, we were served, except for one of us, which took another ten minutes, which was served be the manager who realized what was happening and comped the late meal. Coffee serviced with out a spoon! Even paying the bill took forever. Very disappointed, not a fine dinning experience, considering the high price.

Nice restaurant, nice atmosphere, good food. I always eat at Legal Seafood whenever I am in Boston. Once again, I wasn't let down.

We had a great meal here. They have a great gluten free menu for my wife, including fish and chips. I had a mixed wood fire grill with 3 types of fish, shrimp, and scallops. They also have great clam chowder. Seafood is all fresh-if it was caught more than 3 days ago they will not use it.

Needed a convenient restaurant on a Thursday night. A popular place although we managed to secure a table for 2. Good service and comfortable table. Good list of white wines and reasonably priced. Crab cakes were distinctive although mustard perhaps a tad over done. Absolutely no issues with succulent well cooked scallops.
Probably no need to have gone for the warm chocolate cake. Just too sweet and heavy!
There may be better sea food restaurants to be found in Boston but I would have no hesitation in going back to this place when in the vicinity.
