This place was really classy. I had trepidations about going there because some of the menu items seemed outdated, but the pairings on the tasting menu were delicious, as was the house wine.

We went for Wine Monday. The food was excellent and so perfectly paired with delicious Pacific NW wines. The communal dining was fun as our table featured a mix of MIT grad students and a 50-something couple all sharing a fun epicurean experience. Its moving in September to a new space adjacent to the new Mandarin hotel.

My boyfriend and I had our best meal yet here. We were traveling from Atlanta to Maine and made a special overnight stop in Boston just to eat here. It did not disapoint. We did the full tasting menu with wine pairings. The wines never overpowered the food and the food brought out new tastes in the food.

It is expensive, but worth the experience.

Mrs. & I snagged the last two seats, we're told, at the August 11 "Wine Monday". Four courses, a wine to match each, for sixty bucks a person - Fantastic bargain! And, apparently, after the move to Boylston St, they intend to continue both "Wine Mondays" and "Cheese Tuesdays" ! Yay !!!!
Not that it's not worth the regular prices to eat here - It most definitely is. Last time we were there before this week, we put ourselves completely in the chef's hands - Forgot how many courses we ended up with, but each one was stunning (& it was as if they were trying to unload their entire supply of caviar that night, and we were among the lucky beneficiaries of that) !
